Simple reminder about how long to wear your nail coating

I often see clients (especially with long nails) coming in on week 3… with broken nails 😔

The truth is — timing matters.

Your nail length affects how long your set can safely last:
• Short nails — 2–3 weeks
• Medium length — 3–4 weeks
• Long nails — around 3 weeks max

After that, the structure changes, the stress zone shifts, and the risk of breaks increases ⚠️

Please don’t wait too long — it’s not just about aesthetics, it’s about the health of your nails

Why does it burn in the lamp?

Gel doesn’t “dry” — it hardens through a process called polymerization. During this reaction, heat is released, which can feel like warmth or burning. This is normal.

The sensation can be stronger if:
• the layer is thicker
• the nails are sensitive
• reinforcement or extensions are done

Important:
Light warmth is normal. Strong burning is a signal to remove your hand for a few seconds and place it back once it feels comfortable.

For clients — it doesn’t mean something is wrong.
For nail technicians — proper technique ensures safety and comfort.
