One drill bit for everything? Better not 😅

Every bit has its own purpose. Using the right one makes your work faster, cleaner, and safer.

Save this quick guide 👇🏻

🔹 Safe Bit — for gentle skin work and sensitive areas. The rounded tip helps reduce the risk of injury.

🔹 Flame Bit — helps open the cuticle pocket, lift the cuticle, and clean pterygium from the sidewalls and under the cuticle.

🔹 Ball Bit — used to remove and refine already lifted cuticle, as well as clean the lateral nail folds.

🔹 Silicone Carbide Polisher — for the final skin polishing after manicure. Helps smooth small hangnails and leave the skin soft and even.

🔹 Removal Bit — quickly removes artificial product such as gel polish, base, or builder gel. Always choose the right grit and work without pressure.

🔹 Undernail Cleaning Bit — its narrow shape allows you to work underneath the nail, remove excess thickness, reduce the natural nail when needed, and reach difficult areas safely.

That’s why a professional nail tech needs several different bits, even when they may look like they do “almost the same thing.” Shape, grit, and material determine where and how each bit should be used. ❤️

How to achieve a flawless result? ✨

Follow these 4 essential rules:

⚡️ Check the free edge along the nail axis.
Make sure both sides are even and perfectly aligned.

⚡️ No downward or upward slopes.
The free edge and sidewalls should be straight, and the parallels must remain truly parallel.

⚡️ Build the arch according to the nail length and the type of correction.
The structure should remain balanced through the center and the stress points.

⚡️ Choose the correct free-edge thickness based on the nail length.
Not too thick, not too thin — just enough to maintain strength and a clean structure.

Perfect structure is all about balance, alignment & precision.

Many nail technicians think gel is just applied.
In reality, gel is controlled through technique.

Every structure requires a different approach.

✔ Ultra Thin
✔ Floating
✔ Drop
✔ No-File
✔ Self-Leveling

Why do some nails look longer than others, even though you filed them to the same length? 🤔

The secret isn’t always in the millimeters. More often, it’s all about proportions.

Making every nail exactly the same length doesn’t always create the most balanced look. Why? Because every nail plate has a different width.

✨ A simple rule to remember:

• Keep narrower nails slightly shorter.
• Leave wider nails slightly longer.

This creates a more harmonious shape and makes the hands look more elegant.

One more important tip 👇

Don’t compare the length before the manicure. First, push back the cuticle, fully expose the nail plate, and only then evaluate the length and start filing.

That’s one of the reasons experienced nail technicians create sets that look perfectly even—even when the actual lengths differ by a millimeter or two.

💬 When filing, do you still focus only on the free edge, or do you use the proportion rule?
