As a travel lover, I’ve realized I’m usually most excited when I’m exploring a new city and tasting the local delicacies…

But I don’t want my life to pass by waiting for my next trip to feel that sense of wonder.

There are stories hidden in every city, including my own. My favorite way to uncover them is through food, so I spent one of the first real hot spring days of the year wandering through Old Montréal on a food tour with .

Our guide François and our group of twelve spent the afternoon exploring cobblestone streets, learning about Montréal’s history, and spoting out details I’d somehow walked past for years without noticing.

Along the way, there were toasted Fairmount bagels, local charcuterie, Spanish wine, melt-in-your-mouth croquettes, smoked meat poutine, french cannelés, and Québec cider…

I came for the food, but I left with a deeper appreciation for a part of the city I’ve been walking through blindly for years.

Also, if anyone needs a partner for an Old Montréal trivia night, I think I’m now somewhat qualified.

I can’t wait to do more things like this! 🫶I love being a tourist in my own city.

A glimpse into my camera roll after a rainy morning wander through Montréal’s Old Port during F1 weekend 🌧️🏎️

Cute cars, free , little cafés, and aimlessly walking around my city like the main character in a rainy movie.

It almost makes a homebody like me want to leave the house more often… almost 😅

I spent the evening at gorgeous new terrace opening in DDO for an aperitivo event and it genuinely felt like a European summer night…

Actually it was a chilly May night… but Montréalers will absolutely sit on a heated terrace at 12 degrees if you give us fresh oysters, cocktails, and truffle risotto mixed inside a giant cheese wheel… and honestly? I love that for us 😭🍸🧀

There were pizza slices making their way around the room, crispy arancini, fresh cannolis being filled on the spot, and I’m pretty sure there was a man playing the accordion at one point too. The whole night felt warm in that very Italian way… loud conversations, flowing cocktails, people lingering instead of rushing home.

The terrace is heated thankfully… because the wind was still reminding us that this is Montréal and not the Amalfi Coast.

Definitely one of those nights that made me excited for the warm weather to come.

POV: you’re a homebody who got dragged out of the house on a random weekday for pizza… and suddenly life feels worth living again 🍕🙂‍↕️

Went to Pizza Toni for crispy thin crust S.H.G.P slice to remind me that maybe leaving the house isn’t always a terrible idea 🫶😅

Week 2 of my beginner pottery workshop and my bowls weren’t really bowl-ing too much…

Tried to make them wide like the demo did… but they clay didn’t really want to center right or cooperate with me 😅

We shall try again next time 😂

I started a beginner pottery workshop with … learning how to center the clay on the wheel was definitely harder than it looks and then forming it into something vaguely resembling a cup or a bowl is a whole other challenge!

Friday afternoons are for drinking (and spilling) tea ☕️☺️

I recently spent a slow afternoon at .mtl … and it was one of those moments where you forget about everything else for a bit.

I ordered the delicious Mayan Chocolate tea … very rich and comforting.

The “temps des sucres” tea came out in the prettiest towers… a little Québec love letter, but dressed up all fancy for tea time 🍁

My favorite bites:
• Truffle & maple egg mousse sandwich… creamy, rich, slightly sweet
• Salmon tartare… fresh and light
• Buttery scones with jam and whipped butter
• Mayan chocolate caramel dessert… deep, rich flavor
• Pouding chômeur… nostalgic with a twist, one of my favorites

It’s the kind of place you go when you’re not in a rush… you sit, sip, talk… and suddenly the afternoon disappears

I was invited to by my lovely friends at for a foodie collab night and didn’t expect to hear they’re giving away 2 tickets to see Ariana Grande in Montréal on July 30 and some other great prizes 👏🏽😍

The space is really cute… beautiful murals of Mexican icons, fun neon signs, textured walls … very “take a picture for IG before you eat” energy.

I tried their burrito, fresh tortilla chips with salsa, a yummy crispy churro-like waffle , and a delicious mango tequila cocktail… all tasty and filling

Proof that your homebody bestie .isabelle actually left the house this winter and learned something new 🫶🏽☺️

went to for a clay date with my lovely friend Sarah and it ended up being such a fun experience!

the class was beginner-friendly, the space felt really cozy, and we each made our own little espresso cups by the end… so I’m calling it a win

let’s just say my original plan was a bowl… but we’ll leave that in the past 😭

definitely adding more creative experiences to my side quest list here in Montreal ☺️

I’ve been coming to for years… with family, friends, dates, late cravings, comfort days.
So being invited to .qm for this brunch felt different. Meaningful.

Not because of the menu alone, but because of the people behind it.
Owners who showed up, listened, asked for feedback, and genuinely cared about getting it right before launching something new.

I’m a little bougie when it comes to brunch and I’ll always lean toward fusion over classic… so the loaded breakfast poutines with their crushed potatoes were the stars for me. Some dishes felt more familiar than crave-worthy and innovative, but that’s also part of the process, testing, listening, refining, and learning from your community.

This wasn’t about perfection.
It was about community, openness, and wanting to do right by the people who walk through your doors.

Kosta and Anna , thank you for trusting food lovers with your new ideas before sharing them with the city 🫶
That doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thank you for the invite…
