A little page from my Peru scrapbook 🫶

Last September, I took myself on a solo date to a Peruvian cooking class with ChocoMuseo Peru in Cusco

Our instructor Miguel taught us how to make ceviche, fresh pisco sours & lomo saltado from scratch. I even got to do the fiery pan flip without burning down ChocoMuseo, so personally I’d call that a success 😂

Although i was already stuffed… We finished with tropical fruit dipped in chocolate, but I think my favorite part was how much fun I had with everyone. I booked the class by myself and ended up cooking, eating & laughing with the sweetest group.

I was nervous to go out alone but this was such a great experience 🥹

Definitely one of my favorite memories from my first trip to Cusco 🇵🇪

I was on Haitian time in Peru 😅🇭🇹so i completely missed the market tour at the beginning of the class… but lucky for me they treated me to a hot chocolate while I waited for everyone to get back.

Time to get the ingredients prepped and start cooking 🫶🧑‍🍳

I absolutely love ceviche and this was one of the freshest ones I’ve ever had! 😊

This was probably my 15th pisco sour of the trip 😅🤭 and now i know how to make them at home!

I think you can tell i don’t cook much in this video 😅😂 I might have almost burned my eyebrows off but i had fun doing it !

I was about to explode but i had to finish my milk chocolate dipped fruit skewer because im not a quitter 😂🥲

Started the week at a really fun CROISSOUND event that my lovely friend Alicia | Montreal Content Creator invited me to join her at Omnium Banque Nationale

I unfortunately had some Monday morning meetings and work to do and then for dinner i turned my Costco Canada groceries into a veryyyy respectable girl dinner😅

Decided i should try to get my steps in for the day and got caught in a huge rainstorm… it was pretty though

Was a hand model for an evening shoot at La Voûte 📀 with the girls.. the sushi, live performances, and vibes were immaculate as always but Cinderella was happy to be out of the club by midnight 😅😂

Slices of Life 🫶 | August 2–8

We only have about 30 minutes of summer left so I did a whole lot of side questing last week and I need to stop hoarding all my cutesy photos….

What the pictures don’t show is how overwhelmed and drained I felt behind the scenes. There were days when simply getting ready and leaving home felt much harder than I care to admit to anyone in my life.

I’ve been thinking … and overthinking … trying to figure out what I actually want to share online. I love documenting beautiful things and delicious foods but sometimes I feel like I’m selling a dream and the imposter syndrome is getting worse-er.

So with that being said … here are the curated photos I’m letting you see of my week: little views and bites I want to remember. Yummy coffee at new coffee shops, wandering museums looking at hundred-year-old art, last-minute invites, catch ups with friends, dancing downtown, fireworks, Montréal Pride, and lots of real moments I didn’t pull my camera out for.

I stepped out for opening night of Chợ Đêm MTL to finally experience Montréal’s celebration of Vietnamese culture and food… and I’m so glad I did.

From the lion dance and live performances to all the beautiful áo dài I saw (fun fact: I learned you get in free if you wear one!), it felt like I got to travel to Vietnam for the evening without leaving Griffintown.

I’ve always loved how fresh Vietnamese food tastes. There’s so much balance between grilled meats, herbs, crisp vegetables, rice noodles, and bright sauces that every bite feels light but still packed with flavour.
