Mane Empire is officially celebrating 7 years in business, and wow… what a journey it has been.

If you’ve been with me since 2019, you’ll remember that we were formerly known as Extensions by Mack.

From working in a small space with a dream and a passion for hair, to relocating into our commercial salon space in 2023 and continuing to grow year after year — it’s been incredible to watch.

Since then, we’ve continued building an amazing team and are now welcoming our third hire (which still feels crazy to say 🥹). We’ve also had the opportunity to train so many talented students, many of whom have gone on to become incredible extension artists themselves.

The Mane Empire team continues to grow, but one thing has never changed — our passion for making women feel confident with beautiful hair.

Now here’s the thing about textured hair… not everyone wants to wear their hair in its full natural curl state every day, and that’s where body wave extensions become the happy medium ✨

Body wave extensions provide that extra fluff and movement that traditional straight extensions may not have, while still offering a soft wave pattern that blends beautifully with naturally wavy or humidity-prone hair.

For clients who experience frizz, waves, or puffiness in humidity, body wave can be a game changer. Instead of your natural hair expanding while your extensions stay pin-straight (creating separation), body wave offers texture that moves with your natural hair while still giving you a polished look.

Because these are still 100% human hair with only a light perm added to create the wave, they’re versatile too — wear them in their natural beachy texture, blow dry them smooth, or straighten them for a sleeker finish. Once washed, they return back to their natural wave pattern.

Body wave is also a great option if you:

Curly/textured extension maintenance and straight extension maintenance can be quite different. Be sure to review our aftercare guide on our website before choosing a method that fits your lifestyle.

Curly and textured extensions often require additional hydration and different brushing techniques to maintain definition and prevent dryness. Straight extensions may require more styling and heat work to maintain texture consistency and blend with naturally wavy hair

Alicia recently completed her physical weft and nano training in Toronto and California, along with training in additional extension methods. At Mane Empire, she will be specializing in Nano and Genius Weft extensions and is currently entering her hands-on training phase.

We are currently seeking new clients and select existing clients to act as Alicia’s models. As a thank you for your patience and support while she continues building her speed and experience, we are offering a limited number of clients 50% off services during this phase.

Please keep the following in mind:

• Appointment times will be longer than our standard appointments and may take up to 4+ hours
• Existing clients must qualify for maintenance appointments with Alicia, as we are limiting bookings involving extremely fragile hair or larger-volume installs while she gains experience
• The 50% discount is a one-time training offer only
• Pricing will gradually increase to match Mane Empire pricing once Alicia’s timing and experience progress
• Clients must be comfortable with photos and videos for social media, as Alicia will be building her portfolio

Alicia will be available Saturdays and Sundays starting in June by appointment only.

✨ New clients booking with Alicia will also receive 20% off a new set of hair extensions in addition to the 50% off installation pricing. A consultation appointment will be required beforehand, along with a hair deposit.
