Lymph in Motion
Lymph In Motion Therapeutic Massage Colleen Hurst RMT CLT CST Inc.
Back to school can bring a lot of excitement—but also a whole lot of stress. 📚🍎
New routines, busy mornings, packed schedules, homework, extracurriculars, and the mental load of keeping everything moving can leave both parents and students feeling overwhelmed.
And when life speeds up, our bodies can feel it too.
Supporting your lymphatic system through gentle movement, hydration, deep breathing, rest, and intentional pauses can be a simple way to support your body through the transition.
As you settle into your fall routine, try to keep up with your at-home lymphatic care! If you are feeling the need for more support, consider booking a lymphatic drainage massage. And if you’re looking for a hands-on way to learn more, the Flow & Glow: Facial Vitality Workshop will be on October 24th!
Give your body the support it deserves this season.

Harvest season is one of my favorites!!
There is something pretty special about turning fresh locally grown produce to enjoy salsa and dill pickles and beans long after summer is gone.
A huge thank you to our farmers and growers who work so hard to bring beautiful food to our tables.
Now I want to know what is your what is your favorite thing to make with summers fruit and veggie harvest?
Salsa? Pickles? Jam? Freezing? Canning? Or eating it fresh before it even makes it to the kitchen??

What if your symptoms aren’t your body betraying you… but communicating with you?
We often get frustrated when our bodies feel swollen, stiff, tired, or achy.
But our bodies are incredibly intelligent. They are constantly sending us information—not to punish us, but to invite us to pay attention.
As a massage therapist and lymphatic therapist, I’ve learned that healing often begins when we become curious instead of critical.
Instead of asking, “Why is my body doing this to me?”
Try asking,
“What might my body be asking of me today?”
Sometimes the answer is movement.
Sometimes it’s rest.
Sometimes it’s simply slowing down long enough to listen.

So why do I do what I do?
Because I love this work. I love learning about the human body. I love sharing what I’ve learned, and I truly believe that the lymphatic system deserves a much bigger place in the conversation about how we care for ourselves.

A gentle reminder this summer: you don’t have to be productive every moment.
Not every day needs to be filled with goals, errands, accomplishments, or checking things off your list.
Give yourself permission to slow down. To savour the little moments. To enjoy the season without feeling like you need to make the most of every minute.
You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to play. You are allowed to simply enjoy your life.

Summer is my reflection time. I recently saw a quote... “Not all those who wander are lost” by J.R.R. Tolkien. This really resonated with me... I hope you too are wondering and taking in all the beauty that life has to offer.

A garden doesn’t bloom because you water one flower. It flourishes because every root, stem, and leaf works together.
Your body is much the same.
Your lymphatic system is one of the quiet caretakers supporting every other system.
