I’m Sharmi, owner of Silk Wax Bar, and somehow Silk is officially 7 years old 🥹

I started this business at 22, fresh out of esthetics school, while working full time as a chef in Toronto. Waxing was my side hustle and my first “studio” was literally my living room, separated by a curtain because I didn’t even have a door 😂

7 years later, that little side hustle has turned into a studio, a team, laser hair removal, education, and brand partnerships.

A lot has changed since then. I’m a wife, a mom, an educator, an employer, and somehow still just as obsessed with hair removal as I was at 22.
