This month, a groundbreaking update has been made to the name of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), which is now known as PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome). This change marks a significant step forward in acknowledging the condition's far-reaching impact on the body, extending beyond reproductive health to encompass a range of endocrine and metabolic factors. The most common symptom, hormonal imbalance, can lead to irregular periods, insulin resistance, weight fluctuations, excessive hair growth, severe acne, and mental health challenges. With approximately 1 in 8 women worldwide affected by PMOS, this new name aims to foster a culture of understanding, reduce stigma, and promote earlier detection, ultimately empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being.

I have been working with Mia Kismet and Soul to develop a beautiful new logo for my new business name! I will be changing my name to ‘Perfectly You’ shortly. When I started Northern Electrolysis 7 years ago, it was the only service I offered at the time. Now that I have added nails and may decide to add more services at some point, I want a name that will encompass the current and future services I offer.
