With all of our private rooms now full and our team growing to 8 incredible professionals, I’ve found myself reflecting on everything that Lux Lounge has become.

The past 8 years have been filled with highs and lows, monumental growth, slow seasons that felt almost impossible, grief, births, marriages, staff changes, difficult decisions, and some of the happiest moments imaginable.

We started as two employees, moving to two owners, one employee, and a whole lot of dreams.

Since then, our team has grown, shrunk, adapted, and persevered through mandatory shutdowns, break-ins, economic challenges, and countless unexpected obstacles. Through it all, we continued moving forward.

Five years ago, we took one of the biggest risks of our careers and to expand our team and our space. We moved out of downtown to create a safer, more comfortable environment for both our employees and clients. At the time, it felt like a leap into the unknown. Today, we’re finally seeing the vision we had back then come to life, and we can truly feel the rewards of years of hard work and dedication.

We are incredibly blessed, and if we’re being honest, a little overwhelmed too.

The unwavering support from our community has carried us through every season. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or just discovered us recently, you’ve played a part in our story.

To every service provider who has shared their talent with Lux Lounge, and to every client who has trusted us through all of our growth and changes—thank you. We quite literally could not do this without you!

Owning a business teaches you so much about yourself. It challenges you, stretches you, humbles you, and teaches lessons you never knew you needed to learn.

Today, we’re taking a moment to appreciate what we’ve built.

Model requirements:
• Must be able to lay comfortably for 2.5–3 hours
• Must be comfortable with photos and video being taken for marketing and social media
• Must arrive on time (cannot be late)
• Must come with clean lashes and no eye makeup
• No lash extensions currently on your lashes
• Model price is $50 to cover time and supplies

Meet Valentina ✨💕

Valentina’s love for the beauty industry started at just six years old, and that passion eventually led her to graduate from MC College in 2021. While hair was her first love, she quickly discovered her true passion was helping clients feel confident through lashes and brows, earning multiple certifications along the way.

Her favourite part of being a lash artist? Seeing clients leave feeling beautiful, confident, and like the best version of themselves. 💕

When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her spending time with her son and fiancée, curled up with a good book, or dancing whenever she gets the chance.

Valentina is passionate about creating a relaxing, welcoming experience for every client, and she can’t wait to help you enhance your natural beauty. ✨
