Whatever it is you’ve been thinking about create the collection, enter the competition, take the class, chase the idea. Don’t wait until you feel ready. Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. Just start. 🤍

The formula is only part of the equation.

Before we decide what we’re going to do to the hair, we have to understand the canvas we’re working with.

Porosity, density, hair history, texture… it all matters.

Because the hair is telling you exactly what it needs we just have to stop and look.

Do you ever catch yourself getting so focused on the end result that you forget to check the canvas first? 👀

This isn’t a new hack, just one of those easy-to-miss steps. 👏

Before using your lightener, at least once a day give the tub a good shake. Over time, some of the active ingredients responsible for lifting can settle, so shaking helps keep your lightener consistent from the first scoop to the last.

⚠️ Just make sure the lid is on first… unless you’re looking to redecorate your salon. 😂
