Biologist (MSc), botanist/herbalist, academic, aromatherapist, horticulturalist, homesteader I am so happy to be back with all of you. Susan Rever MSc

First a little bit about me and how this business has evolved over the years. I started my personal journey as 'The Organictarian' when I developed health issues in 2010 (hyperthyroidism, Grave's disease and stage 4 endometriosis). Yes all 3 in the same year. I learned that the 'health food' I was eating and the personal care products I was using at the time were contributing to my diseases/disord

Freshly picked haskaps!! We planted our 2 bushes 3 years ago. These berries came off one bush. The other bush needs another day or two.

Have you ever tried haskaps?

Our garden has been productive so far despite the cool wet spring. I made strawberry jam with low sugar pectin. We enjoyed a spinach salad. I plan to replant the spinach so we get a second harvest in the fall.

We picked our garlic scapes today and made pesto and garlic butter.

I plan to hang one of our herb dryers since our oregano is huge. I can also start harvesting some catnip, thyme and lemon balm.

Stay tuned for more pictures/videos!!

We are getting homegrown strawberries 🍓 daily or every second day now. They are so good!!! They taste so much better than anything you can buy.

Who else here is a strawberry lover??

NEW GF donut holes!!! These will be available this fall. These are baked chocolate glaze donut holes. I plan to also have cinnamon sugar, vanilla, carrot cake and pumpkin. I want to make GF apple fritters as well.

I will also be offering mini GF pies. Apple, pumpkin, pecan and some sort of berry.

Which are you most excited about?

Circulation tincture complete!!! I am just making some circulation tea for myself and trying everything out.

I am hoping to add more herbal products soon. Products such as herbal bath salts, salves/rubs i.e. vapourizing rub + aches/pains, herbal sugar/salt scrubs, elderberry kits, self-care boxes, garden produce + seeds, dehydrated herbs and possibly smoked cheese + meats. Mushrooms and microgreens down the road.

Anything else you would like to see?? I had thought about opening up a farm stand here in Edenwold but it might be too far out in the country.

Urban Gardening and Planting with Purpose workbook complete. It is 41 pages!!! I also have a PowerPoint presentation that I will run during the workshop this coming Sunday. I have some hands on activities planned and each person will have me there to help them with their garden planning/design.

I have to make up the gift bags that each person who is attending will receive.

I am excited!!! This is going to be a great in person workshop.

Our indoor growing setup!! 3 indoor greenhouses full of plants I started from seed. I am very particular where my seeds come from and what soil I use. One shelving unit starting to get full of plants that no longer need the grow lights. We have to cat proof it lol 😆 😂

I started fruits (tomatoes) and vegetables, plus herbs and flowers.

Cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes and peppers.

Lots of herbs - thyme (2 different types), basil (4 different varieties), rosemary, skullcap, marshmallow, echinacea, feverfew, borage, St. John's wort, chamomile, calendula, catnip, valerian, plantain, tulsi holy basil, and burdock root.

Flowers: geraniums, gazanias, marigolds, coleus, dusty miller, lobelia, black-eyed susan and begonia.

I am sure I am forgetting something. We plant a lot of our vegetables directly from seed in the ground. Our garlic is coming up too!!
