Something none massage related. A couple nights ago a smaller muskrat made his way into my barn and was hiding behind the brooms. He is very lucky the cats nor the dogs found him as survival from them would be slim to none. We decided he needed to live, got him into the cat kennel and took him back to the creek behind the house and released him.

MigraineCanada estimates five million Canadians live with migraines, the second most common primary headache disorder. Luckily, holistic health practices can help!

✅ A recent study found that craniosacral therapy was effective in improving pain, frequency of episodes, functional and overall disability, and medication intake in migraineurs.

✅ When combined with massage therapy, aromatherapy was found to be an effective pain reliever.

✅ Myofascial release is a specialized hands-on therapy that has been found to help with tension-type and cervicogenic headaches.

While migraines require additional support through medication or lifestyle changes, holistic health therapies may help address the symptoms and improve your daily life.

Radial & Focused Shockwave Therapy

Radial shockwaves, also called soft shocks, use compressed air to generate pressure waves that deliver their greatest energy at the skin’s surface but lose intensity as they pe*****te deeper. This makes them ideal for treating broad superficial conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow and Achilles tendon issues. Transmitters can address both local spots and wider areas by breaking up adhesions, releasing trigger points and accelerating the healing process.

In contrast, focused shockwaves, also known as hard shocks, use a cylindrical coil to generate high energy pulses that converge in a precise deep tissue focal zone, targeting calcifications, non unions and tendon pathologies close to bone while limiting damage to surrounding soft tissues.

Target & Depth
Focused shockwaves concentrate high-energy pulses into deep structures (up to 12 cm) for bones, calcifications and non-unions, while radial waves disperse medium-energy pulses across superficial soft tissues (up to ~4 cm).

Non-Invasive & Zero Downtime
Both modalities avoid surgery. Radial guarantees zero downtime and immediate return to activity, and focused delivers precision with only mild, brief discomfort.

Biological Stimulation
Focused therapy drives deep growth-factor release, angiogenesis and tissue regeneration; radial therapy enhances superficial microcirculation and fibroblast activation.

Headaches and/or migraines are something most people suffer in life, some more than others. I myself am a person who suffers both, more often migraines. I have taken it upon myself to learn massage techniques that will better help those who have the same issue.

Today I listened in on a webinar that was discussing studies done on those who have headaches and migraines to see which ones were most effective. Of course, massage being the most effective so far over others.

When one gets massage 1-2 times a month, the report is that headaches and migraines are decreased.

It’s important to inform your doctor of your headaches and migraines and what treatments you have done that are working and of those treatments that have not worked.
