We finally discovered the most painful spinal condition…

🍪 Running out of cookies.

Here’s the thing.

A disc bulge can hurt.
A perfectly normal MRI can hurt.
A scary looking spine can have no pain at all.
And some people with a “terrible” MRI are out golfing every weekend.

Pain doesn’t come with an imaging report.

It comes from a nervous system deciding whether you need protection.

Treat the person.
Not the picture.

(But definitely eat the cookies before someone else does.)

It's unfortunate when people have trouble finding a time, then I get cancellations which would work great for them.

Thanks to everyone that sees me. I'm thinking of getting some of you long-time clients targetted therapy-themed gifts to help you on your journey. Here are some ideas so far. Anyone out there have ideas for similar therapy gifts?

I just spent some of my weekend re-learning some RAPID upper body. I'm psyched to wiggle some arm nerves that aren't attached to my own body. I can sure feel my median nerve right now. Note the red line in my arm.

Also some modifications to jaw and upper back work.

I have 3 empty slots tomorrow if someone wants to come in. Lots of late cancellations.

I'm psyched to say that I did my first treatment out of my home clinic.

Direct billing worked great. Payment happens later, but i think it will work.
paperwork went ok.

I'm just treating family and friends for now, but I'm 90% of the way to being able to treat all sorts of strange new clients at home.

I thought my bookings were dying down lately, but that doesnt seem to be the case. I've been fully booked since Dec and fully booked weeks ahead. This monday I had openings last minute, but that seems to be the exception.

I've heard of massage surging around the new year and ebbing over summer, so we will see(it's still my first year working), but I'm suspicious I'm just fully booked all the time now.

Sorry it's hard to get in with me. 😣

What are your thoughts?

I'm thinking of working from home as well as the clinic. Availability would be most afternoons and evenings. There would be some challenges for sure, but I think it could work.

Before I do any of that I need to work on my marketing though so people can hear about me. New business cards, website, and outreaches are at the top of the list.

I took my first half-week(single day and holiday) of vacation since starting work. I'm looking forward to it.
I try to minimize time away from work since it's already so hard to book in with me without weeks of notice.
