This was one of my favourites! A client of mine that I have known for over 7 years invited me to do her daughter’s wedding makeup.

Here are a few versions of “natural makeup” that come to my mind when someone asks to have their beauty highlighted lightly. All these looks still have lashes, eyeliner, shadow, full face foundation, blush, and lips. Every step of what I do for most makeup looks is followed but adapted to accommodate a more natural finish.

It can be really hard to describe makeup and what it is exactly you are looking for.


The questions I like to ask in my consultations are:

- Do you want matte colours or shimmery?
- On a scale of 1-10 how much volume would you like in your makeup today?
- What tones are you envisioning for today’s look?

These questions will help me navigate the makeup look we will create together and I am always open to feedback when we finish to perfect things. I take criticism well and always want you to be honest with me if there is something you would like changed.

FAQ: what about lip touch ups?

Obviously lipstick isn’t something that is going to last all day so I give all my clients a lip touch up in a little dish to take with them for the wedding day to use when they see fit. What is a wedding without lots of kissing, eating, and drinking?
