Unfortunately, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. 🤍

When we use our PicoSure Pro for tattoo removal, the laser breaks tattoo pigment into tiny particles that your body can gradually clear away.

But how quickly that happens depends on a LOT of factors:

🖤 The colour of the tattoo
🖤 How deep the ink was placed
🖤 The type of ink used
🖤 How saturated the tattoo is
🖤 Whether it was professionally or DIY applied
🖤 The location of the tattoo
🖤 Your individual healing & immune response
🖤 How much pigment remains after each treatment

Some small, lightly pigmented tattoos can disappear after just one treatment.

Others—especially dense, deeply saturated or multicoloured tattoos—may require many treatments over a longer period of time.

The Retinol Uglies 🙈

LET’S TALK RETINOL BABES. 💞

I have been asked about retinol a lot lately.
So let’s chat.

First off, I LOVE a good retinoid.
As maintenance: after finishing lasers and advanced facial treatments.

It will improve texture, firmness, tone, scars, pigment, fine lines.

But if you use too strong of a retinoid and rush into it too quickly, you’ll end up with possible purging and the unfortunate patchy skin I have in the photo. My skin was exfoliating itself at different rates and so my self tanner looked crazy. This lasted weeks.

You can burn yourself by using clinical or prescription grade retinols inappropriately.
🤫 I’ve done that too.
😦 By applying it around the eyes.
Ouch.

So if you’re considering adding a retinol to your routine, make sure:

1. You aren’t planning to do skincare treatments in the next 3-4 weeks, such as chemical p*els, laser, microneedling, etc.

2. You are using ample SPF and don’t use tanning beds. Otherwise, your retinol will worsen your skin, not improve it.

3. You start low and slow. Once or twice a week to start, use a tiny amount and pat on the skin. Slowly build up to using it nightly if possible.
