Why we decided to cover 100% of the tariffs for our US customers♥️

This past year has been NO joke navigating the tariffs. Countless businesses have closed, US customer retention has gone down the drain, and everything is more expensive.

While this is something no one wanted, it is unfortunately the new normal. And with that comes adjusting!

When the tariffs were first introduced, we had our customers paying 100% of the cost. And what happened? Everyone stopped ordering.

We had to quickly think how we could make this better, and every solution lead us to covering the costs for our US customers.

So, while it hasn’t been easy, this is what’s been working best for us. ♥️

Because sometimes a terrible thing can redirect you to something much, much better 🥹♥️

The OG Everything Palette was a staple for our brand- it was one of our first viral products, and was loved by thousands of you.

But it wasn’t until one of our restocks that I started noticing some inconsistencies- the shadows weren’t pressed properly, and some of them were arriving damaged.

Feeling defeated, I had no idea what to do. Our manufacturer wasn’t helping us, and I was left to find a solution.

So, instead of throwing in the towel and giving up, I began doing research. This research led us to the team we now work with for our eyeshadow formula, and it has completely transformed our palettes.

Not only is the performance of our eyeshadows immaculate, but the team who helped us bring them to life has treated us so well. 😭♥️

So sometimes, when things don’t work out- it’s for a reason. We may not see it at the time, but I try to remind myself that everything happens for a reason. There’s a lesson in every hardship. And the lesson I learned was to never settle♥️

Listening to our community 🤝 creating a bomb mascara

Mascara is probably one of the most controversial products when it comes to what people want. There’s SO many different ways of doing it. So, when we decided it was time to break into the mascara category, we knew we had to ask our community.

The only problem- everyone wanted something different😅😂

So, what did we do? Took all the requests and did our best to meet everyone in the middle. And the result? Our community now absolutely RAVES over our Flirt Alert Mascara

Why you absolutely SHOULD use discounts codes when shopping with brands❣️✨👀

At the end of the day, shopping sale items or with discount codes helps out a business as much as it helps the consumer! Because typically, sales are used to make room for new stock, give customers incentive to shop, or even reward the community who’s been supporting them!

So, in this house? Don’t ever feel bad shopping sale items or using a discount code. Even if we don’t run them very often 😭 Because it helps us out tremendously, and it’s exactly why we run them ♥️💅

The hardest lesson I’ve learned growing a beauty brand from the ground up❣️

Growing a beauty brand from 0 has taught me:
1️⃣You aren’t owed anything
2️⃣You need to check your ego
3️⃣You need to get used to people not caring

And oddly enough, these are all positive things! It’s all about reframing your perspective. The quicker you learn this, the quicker you’ll succeed!! Because by adjusting your expectations, you can be more realistic with your growth. ♥️

And I know it sounds harsh, but this is the reality of growing a business. Because it isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, and that’s okay!

And after 5 years of growing my brand, people actually care! Who woulda thought?? 😂
