I’ve spent more than 20 years working with skin, and somehow I’m still completely fascinated by it.

The longer I do this work, the more interested I am in understanding skin rather than fighting with it. Why it changes. Why it becomes reactive. How can we make skincare simpler? How can we support the skin rather than asking more of it? How can we bring seemingly opposing needs into balance at the same time?

That curiosity is really what Skin Frequency grew from.

And it’s still what keeps me formulating, researching, asking questions and changing my mind when I learn something new.

I hope I never reach the point where I think I know everything there is to know about skin.

One of the simplest ways to change how a facial oil feels on your skin is to change how you apply it.

Always apply oil to skin that is still slightly damp from a hydrosol mist💦

Water provides hydration. Oils help soften the skin, replenish lipids and reduce the loss of that water through the skin barrier.

Mist generously, then apply just a few drops of oil while the skin is still damp. Press it in, massage slowly.

Hydrate first. Replenish and seal second.
