Community acupuncture across the city

💸 More and more clinics are offering acupuncture on a sliding scale or in a community setting, making care more accessible and rooted in collective healing. ✨

📍I’ve put together a google maps list of spaces where folks can find this kind of support.

👉🏽 Do you know of a clinic or community spot offering accessible acupuncture? Drop it in the comments and I’ll add it to the list!

🗒️ Note: The roots of this model go back to the Lincoln Detox Center in the Bronx (1970s) - a community gathering place that offered acupuncture treatment, political education, and community service. This legacy reminds us that community clinics are about much more than affordable care; they’re about empowerment, solidarity, and healing together.

As the seasons shift, our bodies need a little extra support adapting to the change.

Cupping therapy can be a powerful support for clearing lingering colds and stubborn illnesses

Here’s how it works:

1️⃣ Increases Blood Flow: The suction draws blood to the surface, helping nourish tissues and remove stagnation.

2️⃣ Moves Stagnant Energy (Qi): In TCM, blocked energy can contribute to lingering symptoms; cupping helps restore smooth flow.

3️⃣ Supports the Immune System: By stimulating circulation and lymphatic movement, cupping helps the body clear toxins and strengthen defenses.

4️⃣ Relieves Congestion & Muscle Tension: The therapy loosens tight muscles and eases respiratory discomfort often associated with colds.

The marks left behind are a normal sign of the body responding to treatment, a visual reminder that the body is working to restore balance.

Have you had cupping before? Are you need of a seasonal reset? Book your seasonal treatment today!

Note: I was sick in July with a cough that wouldn’t leave. Grateful to .tcm for helping kick that stubborn cough right outta me!
