Can you do this cheek exercise?

06/16/2026

Facial massage doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming to be effective.
A few intentional minutes each day can help support lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, soften tension patterns, and create a more lifted, sculpted appearance over time. The key isn’t perfection. It’s consistency.
At 38, facial massage remains one of the most impactful things I do for my skin, and these are the exact techniques I teach my clients to fit into real life.
Ready to build a routine that actually works for your face?
Book a 1:1 session and I’ll assess your unique facial patterns, areas of tension, posture, and concerns, then create a personalized facial massage routine designed specifically for you. You’ll leave with a customized take-home video so you know exactly what to do between appointments.

Facial cupping is one of my favourite tools for supporting healthy, resilient skin because it works with the body’s natural systems rather than against them.

The gentle suction helps encourage circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin while supporting lymphatic drainage, which can help reduce puffiness and congestion. It also creates movement within the fascia and soft tissues of the face, helping to release tension patterns that can contribute to a tired, heavy, or tight appearance.

Benefits of facial cupping:
✨ Supports lymphatic drainage
✨ Encourages healthy circulation
✨ Helps reduce puffiness
✨ Releases facial and jaw tension
✨ Supports tissue mobility and fascia health
✨ Leaves skin looking brighter and more refreshed

No single tool is responsible for healthy aging. It’s the consistent daily habits that make the biggest difference over time.

Comment “SMOOTH” and I’ll send you the cups I use and my favourite beginner tips. 💛

By follower request I’m teaching C a little buccal massage tonight. 😂
For anyone new here, buccal massage is an intraoral technique where we work both inside and outside the mouth to release tension in the deeper muscles of the face. It can be incredibly helpful for people who clench their jaw, grind their teeth, carry tension in their face, experience TMJ discomfort, or feel like their face looks puffy or “heavy.”
What I love most about this work is that it’s not really about chasing a sharper jawline or a lifted cheekbone. Those things can happen, but the real magic is helping the muscles of the face, jaw, neck, and scalp finally let go.
Your face works hard all day. Sometimes it deserves a little recovery too.
(And yes, he needs a bit more practice before I let him work on paying clients. 😅)

Facial massage helps stimulate blood flow and support lymphatic drainage, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin while helping reduce the appearance of puffiness. When combined with nutrient-rich, Ayurvedic-inspired skincare, it creates the ideal environment for radiant, healthy-looking skin. Think of it as a science-backed ritual: circulation supports skin vitality, and effective skincare delivers the ingredients your skin needs to thrive. Together, they help reveal a brighter, more refreshed complexion.

I’m 38 and I don’t use Botox.
That doesn’t mean I do nothing.
Aging well naturally requires participation. It means paying attention to sleep, stress, movement, nutrition, hydration, muscle tension, and the habits you repeat every day.
Many of the changes we associate with aging aren’t just about wrinkles. They’re also about fluid retention, tension patterns, posture, circulation, and the health of the tissues beneath the skin.
Facial massage and facial cupping have become part of my daily practice because consistency matters more than quick fixes.
The goal isn’t to look 20 forever.
The goal is to support healthy, resilient skin and feel good in your face at every age.

A lot of what people call “aging” is actually tension.

When the muscles of the jaw, neck, and face become chronically tight, they can restrict circulation, slow lymphatic flow, and contribute to puffiness, heaviness, and changes in facial contour.

One of the first places I look is the jaw.

Years of clenching, stress, screen posture, and everyday life can create tension patterns that affect the entire face.

Before we talk about fillers or invasive procedures, I always ask:

How well does your face move?

Because a face that moves well often looks healthier, brighter, and more lifted.

This is one of my favourite techniques for releasing jaw tension, improving circulation, and helping restore natural facial definition.

Your face is meant to move, not hold stress all day.

Comment PLAN if you want a personalized facial sculpting routine.

Most people try to tighten their jawline from the outside.
But the real lift starts inside your mouth.

Suction your entire tongue to the roof of your mouth. Not just the tip. The full surface.
Then slowly lower your lower jaw while keeping that suction engaged.

You’ll feel deep activation underneath your chin instantly. That’s your suprahyoid muscle group turning on. The sling that supports your jawline. The architectural base of your lower face.

This is not clenching.
It’s controlled tension and controlled release.

What this does:
• Tones the under-chin area
• Supports a sharper jawline
• Stimulates lymphatic drainage
• Helps flush stagnant fluid under the chin and along the upper neck
• Improves tongue posture, which influences lower face structure over time

If you have a tongue tie like I do, it may feel like a deep stretch under the tongue at first. That’s normal. Move slowly.

Do this daily for two weeks and watch what changes.

Your jawline is built, not injected

One of the biggest misconceptions in skincare is that lines and wrinkles are the primary cause of visible aging.

In reality, fluid retention can change the entire shape of the face.

When lymphatic flow slows down and tissues become congested, the face can look heavier, puffier, and less defined. Jawlines soften. Cheeks descend. Under-eye bags become more prominent. Features that once looked sculpted can start to blur.

Many people assume this is simply aging.

Often, it’s fluid.

This is why facial massage, movement, good sleep, stress management, and supporting lymphatic circulation can create such noticeable changes. You’re not just working on the skin. You’re helping restore the contours hidden underneath the congestion.

Aging isn’t only about wrinkles.

It’s also about how well your body moves fluid.
