Unlike your blood, your lymphatic system has no heart to pump it. It relies entirely on your physical muscle movement, deep breathing, and external pressure to keep fluid circulating.

If you’ve been sitting a lot, traveling, or feeling sluggish, lymph fluid can easily pool in your tissues. This can lead to a heavy, bloated feeling and slower systemic recovery.

Our Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage service uses specialized, light, rhythmic manual strokes designed to stimulate this superficial system. By mechanically moving fluid toward your lymph nodes, this treatment assists the body’s natural detoxification, reduces swelling, and supports overall vitality.

Looking to support your Lymphatic system? Appointments are available with Nicole, book today!

Beyond your heartbeat and breathing, your body has a subtle rhythm created by the movement of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain and spinal cord.

In our CranioSacral Therapy treatments, we use gentle manual placements to monitor this rhythm. By listening to your body’s unique pace, we encourage soft-tissue mobility and help your nervous system find a state of ease and balance that massage alone might not reach.

If you’re looking for deep relaxation and restorative healing, CST is the perfect Wednesday reset.

✨New Service Alert: CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

If you are looking for deep nervous system support using a gentle, non-invasive approach to manual therapy, CranioSacral Therapy might be a wonderful addition to your wellness plan.

CST is a gentle, hands-on technique within the scope of Massage Therapy that evaluates and supports the craniosacral system—the protective fluids and membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Using a very light touch (about the weight of a nickel), our Registered Massage Therapists work to release soft-tissue restrictions around the central nervous system.

By assisting the body in shifting out of a stress response and into a state of rest, CST supports your natural recovery processes.

Who Can Benefit?
🧠 Neurological & Stress Support
- Stress, burnout, and chronic fatigue
- Central nervous system regulation

💪 Musculoskeletal & Jaw Relief
- Headaches, migraines, and chronic neck/back tension
- TMJ and jaw discomfort or clenching

🌱 Recovery & Rehabilitation
- Post-surgical muscle guarding and stiffness
- Post-injury strain

Even a mild burn makes your skin hyper-sensitive, meaning a treatment can quickly become painful—or even impossible to receive.

Sunburns cause deep tissue inflammation. Putting manual pressure on burned skin not only hurts, but it can delay your skin's healing. If your skin is blistering or burnt, an RMT cannot safely work over those areas.

How to Protect Your Treatment:

🧴 Protect the "Massage Zones": Generously apply SPF to your shoulders, neck, and back before heading outdoors. Or take breaks from the sun, especially during the highest levels of UV.
🧢 Cover Up: Wear lightweight layers or a hat during outdoor workouts or patio visits.
🔄 Pivot Your Session: If you do get a burn, let us know! We can always adjust your treatment to focus on unexposed areas or switch to an ultra-gentle modality like CranioSacral Therapy.

Keep your skin protected this summer so we can keep your muscles moving comfortably!

Spending a weekend planting your spring garden can put as much stress on your joints as a heavy gym session. Hours spent weeding, kneeling, and bending over garden beds put prolonged pressure on your lower back, knees, and forearm muscles.

The Fact: "Gardener's back" is a very common seasonal complaint caused by keeping the spine in a rounded, flexed position for too long, which overstretches the ligaments and forces the spinal muscles to work overtime.

How to Garden with Ease:

🧎‍♀️‍➡️ Ditch the bend, use a pad: Use a foam kneeling pad or a low stool to keep your hips closer to the ground instead of bending completely forward from your waist.

🌿 Keep tools close: Reaching too far forward while pulling stubborn weeds multiplies the force acting on your lower back. Keep your work directly in front of you.

🔄 Take micro-breaks: Stand up every 15 minutes, place your hands on your hips, and gently lean backward to reverse the forward curve.

Planning to spend time in the soil? An RMT treatment afterwards can help manage post-gardening muscle soreness and keep you moving comfortably!

Pain isn't always where it seems to be coming from. One common example of this is in spinal radiculopathies. The pain occurs when a nerve exiting the spine is irritated, causing pain, numbness, or tingling that travels into an arm or leg. This pain often feels sharp, electric, or shooting.

A Massage therapist can help by providing manual therapy and movement exercises, improving muscle tension and comfort by giving you the tools you need to manage your symptoms.

Contact us at Level Wellness when you're ready to address that lingering stiffness or traveling discomfort.
