Is Lady Gaga’s blood actually in each bottle of her 2012 release ‘The Fame’ fragrance? Short answer is no and here is why.

I went to the hospital today for a post surgery follow up. It was at the same hospital we spent a number of weeks at when my father was first diagnosed with stage IV cancer. It was a difficult time where we only got bad news and had to anust to a new reality. The building my father was in is now gone and it dawned on me how it mirrored the way I felt and made me realize the irony of my broken arm healing at a hasty pace but how my 💔 felt like it was still somewhere in that ghost of a building that is long gone. Reality moves forward but somehow I keep revisiting in my mind the remains of a demolition.

Just revisiting some repertoire I recorded some time ago around the theme of grief. Gavin Luke’s works around this theme is quite extensive and exploring his music has really helped me recentre myself and serve as a form of meditation and prayer as I struggles with grief. ‘Broken Pieces’ sounds like a journey of hope amidst all the pitfalls of life forcing us to continue our way despite the weight of a of all the broken pieces that remain a part of us.
