Cheers to 2020, friends 🥂 Wishing you all health and happiness. Thank you for another wonderful year. Fast forward from a little girl who was once a recipient of boxes and had little to no gifts under the tree, to this day - receiving more presents than ever from people I’ve met through this blessing of a job. Thank you! Regardless, your presence (followers, strangers and all) is the best gift!

I had whole captions planned for these posts, but when I re-read them, I realized how negative they were. Not negative, put-others-down, negative, but just a bad vibe. There are so many issues in the lash community that I can give my two cents on, but it’s tiring. There are already enough people who put too much focus on business that’s not their own. Too much shaming about how some choose to run their business, too much focus on what’s not right, how things should be done. Your perception of the community is moulded by those who speak the loudest, when in reality, this business is so much bigger than the bubble you know. Everyone wants to be on the side that is doing things “right” but this is the nature of business, business in any industry. It’s free for all to do what they want, how they want. The person you don’t think deserves to succeed, will still succeed. Why? Because they’re minding their own business and don’t give a ✖️ what you think. So, what’s the point of all this focus on them?

Working 10-12 hour days will always be hard on the body. You may feel invincible now but I promise that it’s building up inside you. “So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health” (if they’re lucky). Listen to your body. Life’s “milestones” such as accomplishing goals by a certain age, getting married and retiring early, etc etc., are all social constructs. Enjoy the process and be patient, your successes will come. Happiness, fulfillment, and success may appear in forms you dont recognize. Being a “yes”-woman is not the only path. Stress comes from a place of needing to control what’s really not in your control.

Spring cleaning is a real thing. Yes, we are all busy bees, it’s normal for things to begin to pile up. But did you know that clutter is a significant (and often unrecognized) source of stress in our lives? A clean space is a clear mind 🌷this is especially important for those who work from home.

I offer a single day course but students are encouraged to revisit for a “progress check-in” after completion. You will receive 100% support until you are comfortable and confident in the quality of your work. In addition to a full 8 hour day, you will also receive a comprehensive guide to take home. Currently being revised to include even more content, and over 60 pages in length, it’s like “day two” of training. Everything I cover in class, all my knowledge and lash foundation is at your finger tips for your review at home. I try to cover as many important theories and details as I can but there is just so much to learn. Learning never stops! If their classic sets don’t look clean, be wary of their “volume” lashes. It’s very easy for volume lashes to look good in pictures but can be very damaging if it’s not done right. There is a market for both classic and volume lashes. When done correctly and thoroughly, classic lashes can look full and fluffy too! Take your time and do it right. I am not a believer in 2-in-1 courses, let alone 3-in-1 (classic, volume and mega volume) courses 🤦🏻‍♀️ Good things in life take time. These instructors offering package programs went through the same process of practicing and mastering one skill at a time (I hope). They should know the amount of time and hard work it took to get to where they are. So whats with these deals? Volume lashing is an art. Swipe 👈🏻 #1: this is what volume lashes should look like. This takes lots and lots of practice. While you are mastering this skill, your classic lash foundation should be like *snaps finger*. Second nature. Muscle memory. Swipe 👈🏻 #2: this is the volume and mega volume lashes that have flooded the market. Messy. Uneven. All the things that don’t embody the quality of true volume extensions.
