Here’s the donation cheque our Salon Scavo team presented to the Canadian Cancer Society… with GianFranco Scavo, September, Willow and Grant!

Thanks to our wonderful team, basket donors (Alterna and Modern Beauty) and all of our GENEROUS clients. Our first year with “Style for the Cure” for breast cancer was a huge success as we raised $5,872.60, surpassing our goal of $5,000.00!

We are so grateful for all the support our clients have given towards this cause that is so close to our hearts 🩷.

Style for the Cure!

Join Us in Supporting Breast Cancer Research This October

Breast cancer is a cause that has deeply touched our community, and we are excited to relaunch our fundraiser in support of the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Many of you may remember Mercedes, for those of you that are more recent clients, Mercedes was one of our beloved Senior Colour Technicians. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Unfortunately, the treatments took a heavy toll, preventing her from working. As a single mom, Mercedes faced significant financial strain, so we organized a fundraiser to help her with living expenses. Our goal was simple—to ease her financial burden during such a difficult time, and thanks to everyone’s generosity, we were able to do just that. �Sadly, she lost her fight in 2015, but her memory continues to inspire us. In 2019, we decided to continue fundraising for breast cancer, however the pandemic interrupted our efforts, and we have been unable to hold another fundraiser – until now.

This year, our goal is to raise $5,000 for breast cancer research. It is important to note that breast cancer doesn’t only affect women—men can also be diagnosed with the disease. This is a cause that affects us all, and we’re asking for your support.

2. Donate in person at our salon.

Those who donate will automatically receive a tax receipt for your donation.

Our partners, Alterna and Modern Beauty, have generously donated hair care/styling baskets. When you donate in salon, you will automatically be entered to win one of the three baskets! 🎁🛍️

Your donations, big or small, will directly support breast cancer research. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the fight against this disease.
