Going darker after years of bleach? It’s not as simple as putting brown over blonde.
For this hair color transformation, we had to treat the roots and lengths separately.
Her natural roots were around a level 2–3, much darker than our desired shade, so we needed to lift the roots to reach our target level.
The lengths were previously bleached and much lighter than our desired light brown hair color, so we needed to do the opposite — add depth and pigment back into the hair.
Roots → lifted lighter
Lengths → darkened + repigmented
