The skin is part of the treatment too.

When we perform a brow lamination, we’re not just treating the brow hairs. The lifting solution sits directly on the skin throughout the processing time.

That’s why pH matters.

For a relaxing solution to work, the pH must be alkaline enough to allow the active ingredients to access the hair’s internal structure. But as the pH becomes more alkaline, the skin can also become more susceptible to irritation because its natural barrier is being disrupted.

This doesn’t mean a higher pH will always cause burning. Skin sensitivity varies from person to person, and the overall formula, processing time, application technique, and other ingredients all play an important role.

That’s why we looked beyond performance alone.

Our new Step 1 is a full cysteamine formula with no thioglycolate and no ethanolamine, carefully developed to create beautiful brow laminations while keeping skin health at the forefront of every formulation decision.

Because beautiful results should never come at the expense of healthy skin.

Skin first. Always.

Ingredient File: Why the solution on the skin matters.

When we perform a brow lamination, the lifting solution doesn’t just touch the brow hairs. It sits directly on the skin for up to 15 minutes.

That makes the ingredients just as important as the results.

Many traditional brow lamination formulas use ethanolamine to help raise the pH and support the lifting process. While it’s effective, published in vitro cytotoxicity testing on human skin cells has shown low cell viability for ethanolamine thioglycolate under the conditions tested, raising important questions about skin compatibility.

That’s why we chose a different approach.

Our new Step 1 is a full cysteamine formula with no ethanolamine.

Because brow lamination isn’t just about reshaping hair.

It’s also about respecting the skin underneath it.

Skin first. Always.

The hair gets all the attention because it’s visible. The skin determines comfort, retention of trust, and the overall client experience.

Your client’s skin gets laminated too.

i know, it sounds strange, but think about it?

During a lash lift, the lifting lotion is primarily placed on a shield. During a brow lamination, the product is applied directly over the skin beneath the brows.

That means the active ingredient isn’t only interacting with hair. It’s interacting with skin too. This is why ingredient selection matters.

Traditional thio systems typically work at a very high pH, which can place more stress on the skin barrier. Cysteamine systems work differently, working at a more moderate pH while still reshaping the hair.

When comparing brow lamination products, understand what you will be putting on their skin?

Had you ever thought about brow lamination this way?

Skin first, Brows equally after.

Everyone’s talking about cysteamine for lash lifts right now. Brow lamination deserves the same conversation.

Brow lamination isn’t about locking hairs into one shape. It’s about creating enough flexibility within the hair to redirect, style, and refine the appearance of your brows.

Step 1 softens the hair’s structure. Step 2 stabilizes it. The result is brows that can be brushed fuller, defined, wider, or more natural depending on how you choose to style them.

That’s why the solution matters. Skin comfort isn’t determined by one ingredient alone. Processing time, formula design, skin sensitivity, and application all play a role. Choosing a gentler formula helps support healthy brows and a more comfortable experience.

Because when it comes to brows, skin health matters just as much as the finished look.

The service is over, but the hair is not finished recovering.

Why one shower could ruin a perfect lash or brow lift?

When you ask how you can stand out in a saturated market 🤩

One of the biggest things I have learned after fifteen years behind the chair is that confidence rarely comes from doing more services.

3,345 lash lifts and counting, It comes from understanding why things happen.

Why one client’s lashes process differently than another.

Why timing matters. Why products behave the way they do.
Why a result can be beautiful one day and inconsistent the next.

The longer I work in this industry, the more I realize that the small details are often the ones nobody talks about.

That is exactly why I created our guide on all things you may not have been taught.

Not to give you another certificate, but to share the observations, science, and lessons I wish someone had shared with me sooner.

Because when you understand the why, you stop second guessing yourself and start trusting your decisions.
