Science of Beauty
A minimalist approach to premium skin care and injectable enhancements.
The pelvic floor holds so much, both physically and emotionally, and most of us don’t realise how disconnected we’ve become from that part of our body until we start to reconnect with it.
After childbirth, after trauma, after years of just getting on with it, that connection might have been overlooked. Because it can it happen so gradually, or expectedly, we adjust. We accept the leaking, the lack of sensation, the feeling that something just isn’t quite right down there. We normalise it because we don’t talk about it.
Then, the Emsella chair comes along and rebuilds what was lost - without surgery or downtime, just by strengthening a complex muscle group that deserved attention a long time ago.
I’ve watched patients light up after feeling the benefits of the Emsella, not because of what it did for their bladder, but because of how it made them feel in their body again. Present, reconnected, and in control. It was like something had been given back to them.
If any of this sounds familiar, we’re here, and we’d love to talk about it. Try a complimentary 5-minute demo to see if it’s for you.

Our skin is our largest organ, but it’s usually the last one we actually look after.
We take our vitamins, we move our bodies, we try to sleep, and then we either ignore our skin completely or throw everything at it and hope for the best.
However, your skin is working constantly: Regulating your temperature, blocking out bacteria, keeping everything that’s supposed to stay in, in. It does not get a day off. And it doesn’t need a 14 step routine. It needs the right things, consistently.
- SPF every single day
- A stable vitamin C
- Retinol
- A growth factor serum
That’s it.
After 13 years of looking at skin every single day, this is what actually moves the needle. The basics, done properly.
Your skin deserves the same care you give to everything else.

Working in aesthetics while pregnant is like being forced to window shop 😅
Which treatments can be done while pregnant? More than you’d think actually:
Any of our facials can be done, including the Bela MD. Injectables, peels and lymphatic massage are safe once that baby is out!
Baby no.2 coming this December 🤍 Fret not, I’ll be back to work in February!

I had a baby this year, and this has been on my mind a lot lately, because my son was born with neck lines. And although his mother might have, he certainly did not spend 9 months in my womb looking down at a phone.
“Tech neck” is a marketing term and I’m not buying it. These lines are natural and functional. Your neck literally needs to move up and down and those creases are how it does that. So no, putting your phone down is not going to make them disappear.
What actually happens is that your skin starts to lose collagen and laxity, so the skin in that area begins to drop, and lines that were always there suddenly become more noticeable.
The way we treat it is with a combination approach, a biostimulator to restore structure and stimulate collagen in the deeper layers, alongside an HA like a skin booster, in combination with something superficial like retinol, microneedling or a chemical peel to improve the skin quality on top.
What we don’t do is just fill in the lines with filler without addressing the underlying laxity.

Take it from someone who has tried it all.
I spent years convinced that more was more. New launch? In the cart. Glowing review? Influenced; ordered. A shelf so full I genuinely couldn’t keep track of what I was using or why.
Truth be told, the only time I got committed to a routine was when I saw results. I could pin it down to the two things I knew I was doing every day - vitamin C and SPF. I gradually worked in retinol. Then added growth factor.
I started paying attention to what my skin actually responded to, and after a while, almost everything got edited out.
Now I use four things consistently and my skin is better than it’s ever been.
It’s not about having less for the sake of it, it’s about knowing what actually works and not letting the noise talk you into the rest.
What are your holy grails?

Let’s talk about Baby Botox.
Less is more, when it’s adequate.
Baby botox is mostly a marketing term, not a medical one. and sometimes “just a little” means coming back more often, spending more money, and still not getting the result you were after. Worst case scenario, repeated exposure over time can contribute to resistance to its protective proteins in the long term.
Optimal dosage is ideal; too little and the muscle isn’t relaxed enough to actually change anything. We’re not trying to talk you into more, we’re just trying to get you the result you came in for.
We will always listen to your goals and work with you, but trust us when it comes to units. That’s where us cooks thrive in the kitchen!

Unfortunately we can’t provide any numbing cream for that type of pain, but we promise it’s worth it.
