Although originally intending to seek a career in counselling, I’d always had a love for beauty and fashion and a strong passion for social justice. After leaving my counselling program to explore a string of unfulfilling jobs in various fields and doing a little soul searching, I decided to take the plunge and apply to Blanche Macdonald. After completing the spa program at BMC in 2013 I spent time at a few places around town, working with some talented people and gaining industry experience. Somehow though, I never felt like I found my niche in these highly gendered environments, and observed a lack of sensitivity around diverse bodies and identities that troubled me. The Body Politik was born in 2015 to fill a need for Body Positive and Trans friendly self-care services in Vancouver. Specializing in waxing - especially Brazilian / intimate area waxing, I have been told that I offer one of the quickest and least painful waxes you'll ever have. When I'm not in the studio you can find me practicing yoga, traveling, and loving up on my rescue pupper, Elvis. I love hip-hop, sci-fi & horror movies, hot sauce on damn near everything, and making sure you leave happy and smooth. Wax Master. Sass Pants
