RE: Closure of Urban Tanning Studios

We would like to inform you that Urban Tanning Studios last day of operation will be Thursday, June 19th. All client information has been transferred to SunScape Tanning Studios, and all packages are now available for use at any of their 7 Metro Vancouver locations, including Yaletown which is a block away at 415 Helmcken (corner of Helmcken and Homer). All packages purchased prior to April 9th before SunScape took over operations, are valid until December 31, 2014. Please make sure you take with you now any lotions or eyewear stored at Urban Tan - you may store them at the SunScape Yaletown location (eyewear stored only with a lotion). A note from Aaron (Urban Tanning Owner/Founder):

Why is Urban Tanning closing? After 10 years in the business it was time to move on. It was important to me that all of our clients be well taken care of, so a great deal of time was spent working with SunScape planning a smooth transition of business so that all Urban Clients would be well taken care of, and receive the best value possible for their existing packages. I thank-you for your many years of support. SunScape’s original hope was that we could maintain 2 Yaletown locations, and continue the Urban Tan business without interruption. After 6-8 weeks of operation it became clear that this location was not financially viable, and the decision was made to not renew the Lease which expires June 30th. We are confident that by focusing all of our energy and resources on our SunScape location, we can better serve all Urban Tanning clients. If you have not already been in to visit, we look forward to introducing you to additional services (Sunless and Red Light Therapy), a better UV equipment mix, and 100% guaranteed best rates on every level of equipment we carry.
