St. John's Wort or goldenwort (Hypericum perforatum) can be used fresh, in a tea, and a tincture, or in an oil topically.

It's a lovely regulating plant. For some people it helps with their depression, for me I use it when I'm overstimulated and anxious.
The oil can be used topically for nerve pain/damage.

This plant does have contraindications though, if you're on SSRI's or similar pharmaceuticals it will affect their efficacy.

My boy.
My garden helper.
My rat catcher (and eater).
My familiar.
My tree climber.
My lap warmer.
My sentinel.

Cleaned up the garden a little today and wanted to share my haul with you! I feel so lucky to get all these potatoes! And this is only half of my plants. 💪🥔🥰
What have you been eating from your garden this week?

Human touch is a biological and psychological necessity.
Without it, our cortisol levels go up, increasing depression and anxiety, and our immune systems become weakened.
With regular physical touch, we sleep better, eat better, think better, and have more energy to do the things that bring us joy. Our nervous systems are more regulated.

This is your sign to come in for your oxytocin boost.
Regular monthly massages are an essential part to a nourishing and healthy life.

Found a meadow today and decided to Wildcraft my years supply of red clover.

Trifolium pratense is a plant that's been used medicinally for thousands of years for anything from hormone balancing because if it's phytoestrogens, to heart health and skin health.

I dehydrate them, keep them in mason jars, and usually pop a few into my herbal tea blend. They add a nice sweetness as well!
You could also make a concentrated tea and use as a facial toner.

And you'll notice at the top of the photo a different plant with purple flowers. That's self heal (Prunella vulgaris) which I dehydrate and use in my comfrey oil and comfrey balm. She was a surprise bonus!

The sounds of the waves lapping on the shore, songbirds and ravens in the trees, and the din of dozens of conversations around me.
On my days off, I have the freedom to do whatever I want. And this is what I choose.

Swimming in the ocean, sun, breeze, melty snacks, reading my book under an umbrella, repeat.

I hope you're all taking advantage of the summer and doing what fills your soul with joy!

Yesterday was witch and wizard magick by the river.
We slipped into another dimension for a little while, communed with the Earth, connected with each other, regulated our nervous systems.

I'm so grateful for wise, intelligent, silly, and wholesome friends. Thank you for making my life better. Love you T!!

Messing around with rose petals and cedarwood tonight. Made a test batch, maybe this will be the most beautiful incense ever.
Waiting two days for it to dry is the hardest!

This was my commute to work yesterday. Even with an umbrella, I was drenched from the knees down with two complete soakers.

The smell was perfection.
And the sound was a beautiful symphony.
But the Earth couldn't drink fast enough and there were deep puddles and rivulets everywhere.

We wrote them down and then we burned them.

The things we had outgrown.
The things we wanted to purge.
The things keeping us small.
The things holding us back.

Today is a new day, and I am a new me.
There's no going back, only forward.
