I am sharing this for someone I care about who needs help right now. Trust me, I know the value of community support. Shares are just as important as donations

There is a quote about the person who is actually in the arena. Face covered in dust and sweat and blood. Striving. Failing. Getting back up.
That is me right now.
I grew up in foster care and entered permanent government care at 13. At 23 I could barely read or write well enough to pass a basic temp agency assessment. I walked out of those offices feeling ashamed and defeated.
But I refused to give up on myself.
I taught myself. I fought my way into the University of Toronto and earned a degree. I built a career in Human Resources and the non-profit sector, spending years helping youth, newcomers, and people society had written off find work and rebuild their lives.
Now after nearly two years of unemployment, over 400 applications, interviews and final rounds, I am the one facing the street.
I have sold everything I can sell. I have no family. I am doing this completely alone and I am running out of time to keep my rental home.
Every morning I still get up and apply. I am not waiting to be rescued. I am asking for a bridge while I keep building my way back.
I have not left the arena once. I am just finally asking for community backup.

Every dollar keeps me housed while I keep fighting.

25 time award winning STATUS BARBERSHOP is looking for Barbers/Stylists to join our team in our very busy barbershop.

Applicants must have a strong work ethic, punctual, reliable and work well with others. Exceptional customer service skills are a must. Experience is great, but not a necessity.

Successful applicants will receive additional education from some of the top barbers in B.C. Although not required, having a clientele will be an advantage, but we are a very busy shop which will allow immediate growth.
