15 years ago today as I tucked you into bed you told me if I listened to your heart beat I would heart it say mo-mmy, you were 6 years old….

Today I celebrate your 21st birthday!

21 years of having a son. 21 years of being able to love you. I feel so blessed. There are no words to explain the bond a mom has with her son.

I love you Jacob so much. You are brilliant, loving, so compassionate and caring and your dry sense of humour can get you in trouble at times but also can make us all laugh almost every night at dinner.

The experiences in life you have endured have made you who you are today and I am so proud of you.

You continue to amaze me 💗

24 years ago you made me a mom.
You were first to make us parents.
The first grandchild.
The first neice.
The first big cousin.
You were the first we would love with all of hearts.
The first we cried with.
The first we laughed with.
The first we made mistakes with.
The first we learned how to be parents with.

Such a blessing you have been.

You have amazed us with how big your heart is. The compassion you have for others is so special. It’s what makes you such an amazing nurse.
I could not of hoped for any more than what you have, and where you are right now in your life. I am excited to see what is to come in the next couple of years for you, but I also want time to slow down.
I would love to go back and cuddle you in my arms as we watched Bear in the Big Blue House. Just me and you. Or watch you eat yougurt for the very first time and then cry when you realized it was all done 😂 All those days you kicked and screamed as I tried leaving Nonna’s house….you exhausted me. You challenged me. You also loved me. A love that was and still is one that only some will ever experience. And I am so grateful that I am able to experience it with you.

Happy Birthday to my dad!

Today he turns 77 and I feel beyond blessed and lucky to be able to celebrate him today.

I know I say this all the time but thank you.

Thank you for all of the sacrifices you made to give me and my sisters such a great life.

Thank you for the endless love and support you have given Lee and I. Thank you for loving Lee like your own son.

Thank you for the love and guidance you give my kids. All the hugs and “I love you” you give them will never be enough.

You are my double 🌈🌈 baby. I didn’t know if in the end I would end up having another baby after losing two. But I am so grateful that we tried one more time.

It’s funny when you have your first born everything you experience is for the first time and it’s scary and exciting. But when you have your last everything you experience with that baby is for the last time. And so it’s like you take in every one of those moments with a deep breath and tuck it safely away.

I wish your dad was here to celebrate this beautiful milestone with you, but a FaceTime call from Saw Mill Bay will have to do.

I love your persistence, passion for justice, and eagerness to tell us how much you love us. I love all the hugs and snuggles. I love hearing you laugh so freely with your friends. Keep wearing your heart on your sleeve, most importantly keep learning how to be a better version of yourself because there is no one else like you 🩷

23 years ago today I was blessed with one of the most amazing little humans. I cannot believe you are 23. You have completely surpassed any expectations I have ever had for you so far. Please keep believing in all that you do.

Keep fighting for girls all around the world to have the right to wear high heels, and a baseball glove and that we don’t need to choose or be shamed for wanting to do what we do. You inspire me to do the same.

Your kindness and compassion comes so naturally to you. You have experienced so much in your 23 years and have learned so many lessons, some were easy and some were more challenging which helped mold you into this beautiful human.

You are starting to enter a different phase of your life and although it makes me sad and scared to death I am also excited as I sit on the edge of my seat watching your life happen...

You are truly an amazing gift. I love the relationship we have and can’t wait for it to bloom as time goes on.

There are only 5 weeks left until Christmas and my schedule is booking up!
I still have some openings during the next couple of weeks, but the weeks of December 9th and 15th are limited!
