Why does laser tattoo removal take more than one session? 🤔
This is one of the questions I get asked most!
Laser tattoo removal works by breaking the tattoo ink into tiny particles. Your body’s immune system then gradually clears those particles away over the following weeks.
Because only a portion of the ink can be safely treated in each session, multiple appointments are needed to fade the tattoo while protecting your skin.
The number of sessions depends on factors like:
✨ Ink colour
✨ How much ink is in the skin
✨ The age of the tattoo
✨ Where it’s located on the body
✨ How your body responds to treatment
Every session gets you one step closer to your goal—whether that’s complete removal or lightening the tattoo enough for a beautiful cover-up.

One of the most common questions I’ve been getting is:
“Can I get permanent makeup in the summer?”
The answer is yes! ☀️
Summer is absolutely a great time for PMU, as long as you’re committed to following your aftercare instructions. During the healing process, you’ll need to:
• Wear a hat and keep the treated area out of direct sun.
• Keep the area clean and free from makeup, SPF, and excessive sweat while it’s healing.
• Avoid anything that could introduce bacteria and increase the risk of infection.
If you’re able to protect your brows (or lips) from the sun and follow the aftercare, there’s no reason to wait until fall!
