Your wax is done, now what? Here’s part 2 of tips for your After-Wax appointment!

🧊Stay Cool: Avoid hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, and intense exercise to prevent sweating, which can irritate hair follicles.

👚Wear Loose Clothing: Avoid tight pants or synthetic fabrics (like spandex) that create friction and trap sweat.

🧽exfoliate: after 24-48 hours, begin gentle exfoliation 2-3 times weekly to prevent ingrown hairs and irritation.

🧴Avoid Products: Do not apply scented lotions, perfumes, or harsh deodorants to the waxed area.

🧼Keep it Clean: Use lukewarm water and gentle, fragrance-free soap to cleanse.

Here’s some tips on how to prep for your wax 💖

🪒Hair Length: Ensure hair is roughly the size of a grain of rice, or about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, to allow the wax to grip properly.

🧽Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate 1-2 days before to prevent ingrown hairs, but avoid harsh scrubbing immediately before.

🛁Hygiene: Take a lukewarm shower to remove sweat and oils.

🚫Avoid Products: Do not apply lotions, oils, or creams to the area being waxed.

💊Comfort Measures: Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen 30-60 minutes before to reduce pain. Please speak to to your health care professional to deem it’s safe for you to take.

👚Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritation after the appointment.

☀️Avoid Sun/Gym: Avoid intense sun exposure and tanning beds for 24 hours prior.
