WHY YOUR BLONDE NEEDS MORE THAN JUST SHAMPOO

Your blonde can look a little different a few weeks after your salon appointment. That’s completely normal.

Washing, heat, sun, minerals in the water and everyday styling can gradually make the color look warmer or less fresh.

This is where COLOR-ENHANCING PRODUCTS can help maintain your tone between salon appointments.

Depending on your hair, that could be a violet or blue shampoo, a toning conditioner, or a color-refreshing mask.

BUT THE RIGHT PRODUCT MATTERS.

Violet helps neutralize yellow tones, while blue is generally used for unwanted orange or copper tones. Using the wrong pigment, or using toning products too often, can leave blonde hair looking dull or overly cool.

That’s why I don’t recommend the same product to every blonde client.

But it can’t show me your hair history, previous chemical services or what’s happening inside the hair.

That’s why I never look at a photo and immediately say, “Yes, we can do that.”

First I look at your hair.

THEN I CREATE A PLAN.

Because a beautiful blonde should never come at the expense of your hair.

THE BEST COMPLIMENT ISN’T “YOUR COLOR IS SO BLONDE.”

It’s:

“Your hair looks so good and healthy.”

Because that tells me the color works as a whole.

The tone.

The dimension.

The shine.

The condition.

The way it fits you.

I DON’T WANT YOUR HAIR COLOR TO WEAR YOU.

I want it to look like it belongs to you.

SOMETIMES THE BEST THING I CAN TELL A CLIENT IS “NOT YET.”

Not every blonde should be done in one appointment.

Sometimes the hair needs time.

Sometimes it needs a different approach.

And sometimes pushing for more lift would simply be too much for the hair to handle.

I know “not today” isn’t always the answer a client wants to hear.

But I would rather be honest with you than give you a result that your hair can’t handle.

MY JOB ISN’T TO SAY YES TO EVERYTHING.

My job is to know when your hair can handle more and when it needs a different plan.

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR BLONDE? STOP CHASING PERFECTION.

Your hair will look different in bathroom lighting, daylight and under salon lights.

It will move.

It will have dimension.

Some days it will look warmer. Some days cooler.

That’s normal.
