What exactly happens during a visceral massage? 👀

If you’ve never experienced it before, the techniques and areas being worked may be different from what you’d expect from a traditional massage.

Visceral massage uses gentle, hands-on techniques around the abdomen and surrounding tissues. Your RMT will guide you through the process so you know what to expect and can feel comfortable throughout your treatment.

Curious if visceral massage could be right for you? Talk to your RMT at your next massage or give us a call at the clinic today! 💆‍♀️

Think massage is only for when something hurts? Think again. 👀

Massage therapy isn’t just about addressing pain—it can also support mobility, recovery, and how your body feels and moves day to day.

Whether you’re dealing with discomfort or simply looking to keep your body moving well, massage can be a helpful part of your overall care. 💆‍♀️

Ready to give your body some attention before pain becomes the reason? Book your next massage with us!

🧘‍♀️ Got 5 minutes? Give your body some movement.

Between work, errands, and busy schedules, it can be easy to spend most of the day in the same position. Taking just a few minutes to move can be a simple way to check in with your body and work through some everyday stiffness.

Try these 3 simple mobility movements to get your spine, upper back, and hips moving:

✨ Cat-Cow
✨ Quadruped Thoracic Rotation
✨ 90/90 Hip Rotations

And remember, mobility is just one part of taking care of your body. Massage therapy can also be a great way to address areas of tension and support how your body moves. 💆‍♀️

Save this post and come back to it the next time you need a quick movement break!

If you’re bracing yourself through your entire massage… something’s probably not right. 😬

There’s a common idea that a massage has to hurt to “work,” but that isn’t necessarily the case.

Your RMT can use different techniques and pressure levels depending on what your body needs. Some areas may feel tender, but intense or unbearable pain shouldn’t be the goal.

A good massage should leave you feeling cared for—not like you just survived a workout. 💆‍♀️

Have questions about what pressure is right for you? Talk to your RMT at your next massage!

🔎 What does an RMT actually assess?

Massage therapy is about more than simply working on the area that hurts. At the beginning of your appointment, your RMT takes the time to assess what’s going on and understand how it may be affecting you.

This can include looking at:
• Range of motion
• Muscle tension
• Areas of discomfort
• Functional limitations

This assessment helps your RMT determine where treatment may be most beneficial and allows your massage to be more specific to your individual needs.

Your body is unique — your treatment should be too. 💆‍♀️

Your shoulder hurts… but is your shoulder actually the problem? 🤔

Sometimes the area that hurts isn’t the area causing the issue. Your neck, upper back, chest, or even the way your shoulder blade moves can all play a role in shoulder discomfort.

So instead of only focusing on where you feel the pain, it’s worth looking at what’s happening around it, too.

Your body works as a team — and your treatment should, too. 💆‍♀️

Book a massage with one of our RMTs and give your shoulder a little more attention.

Getting back into a routine? Don’t forget about your body.

As summer winds down and routines start picking back up, it’s easy to spend more time sitting at your desk, commuting, working, or getting back into your usual activities.

That change in routine can also mean more stiffness, tension, and those little aches that are easy to ignore.

Taking time for regular movement, recovery, and massage therapy can help you stay on top of how your body is feeling as your schedule gets busier.

New routine, same body — make sure it’s taken care of. 💆‍♀
