I know the first rinse after your spray tan can look a little scary, but this is exactly what you want to see!🤎

What you’re rinsing away is the cosmetic bronzer✨

Your tan is created by DHA, which reacts with the outer layer of your skin and continues developing for up to 24 hours after your rinse. So even though the bronzer washes away, your tan is still developing underneath.

🤎 Why is it so important to rinse ALL of the bronzer off?

The cosmetic bronzer is there to give you instant colour and help me see where the solution has been applied. Once your development time is up, it has done its job🤗

🤎 If you leave bronzer sitting on your skin it can:
• Dry unevenly and leave streaks or patchiness.
• Leave excess DHA sitting on the skin causing darker spots or uneven development.
• Cause your tan to fade less evenly.
• Transfer onto clothing, towels, or bedding.

🚿 How to do your first rinse properly:

✔️ Wait your recommended development time before rinsing.
✔️ Use lukewarm water only
✔️ Use your hands to help ‘push’ the tan off your body. No loofahs or exfoliating. Your hands will help remove all of the cosmetic bronzer from your skin.
✔️ Continue rinsing until the water runs completely clear.
✔️ Try to keep your time in the shower short (2-3 minutes at most)
✔️ Pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing.

⚠️ If you notice streaks or patchiness after your rinse, don’t panic. Most of the time it’s just leftover bronzer that wasn’t completely removed. Just hop back into the shower, use your hands to gently rub in a circular motion until the water runs clear!

Your first rinse is key for how beautifully your tan develops and fades.✨ Taking an extra minute to thoroughly remove the bronzer can make all the difference.
