Coming to Paris for the European Natural Beauty Awards is always exciting, but this year felt extra special.

We got to see ENBA HOUSE open its doors in the heart of Paris, and we’re so happy that LUMI gets to be a part of it. Together with like-minded brands from around the world, it’s a space where you can truly trust your beauty choices. Because ENBA looks beyond simply being “natural”, considering performance, ingredients, transparency, sustainability and innovation too.

And they really do their homework. This year, 153 products were shortlisted, with 100 independent jurors from 35 countries and 90 days of testing.

Which makes this feel even more special to us.

For the third year in a row, a LUMI formula was selected among the TOP 3 most innovative formulas of the year.

And we came home with even more to celebrate. Our ICONIC Longevity Night Mask and LOLÁ In Love Butter Bronzer both received ENBA Excellence Awards. So yes, our suitcases came home a little heavier. 🏆

But collecting these beautiful trophies also reminds us why we get to be here in the first place.

Awards and international recognition mean more to us than we can say, but knowing our products are part of your everyday lives will always mean the most.

For us, no ingredient goes into a formula just because it sounds good or happens to be trending. Everything we use is there for a reason.

We’ve always believed that for almost every skin concern, there’s a smarter way to formulate. Instead of throwing more and more ingredients at the skin, we try to understand what it actually needs — and find the ingredient, plant or technology that makes sense for it.

That’s really where less is more comes from for us. Fewer unnecessary ingredients. Thoughtful combinations. Actives that have a purpose.

It’s why you’ll find things like omega-rich h**p seed oil, aloe, yarrow, postbiotics, AHA and BHA acids, and newer biotech actives in our formulas. Not because we want a long or impressive INCI list, but because every ingredient should earn its place.

Nagu paljud teist on märganud, on meie Volta 1 CASA nüüdsest poena regulaarselt avatud vaid esmaspäeviti kell 11–18. Põhjus selleks on tegelikult väga lihtne.

Meil ei ole kunagi olnud klassikalisi poepidajaid. CASA-t on algusest peale hoidnud meie enda inimesed – müügijuht, turundustiim, kosmeetikud ja teised LUMI inimesed, kes oma igapäevatöö kõrvalt on teid seal naeratusega vastu võtnud.

See on meie jaoks pikalt väga hästi töötanud. Tänaseks on aga nende inimeste enda tööpõld lihtsalt suuremaks kasvanud ja meie jaoks on oluline anda oma tiimile vabadus töötada sealt, kust neil parasjagu kõige parem ja mõnusam on – ilma kohustuseta olla lihtsalt kellast kellani ühes ruumis.

CASA ise aga ei kao kuhugi. Vastupidi.

Meie fookus liigub järjest rohkem CASA salongile. Näeme, kui väga te meie hoolitsusi armastate, ning tahame sinna juurde tuua veel rohkem aegu ja teenuseid. Nii Piret kui ka Küllikki jätkavad CASA-s toimetamist ka teistel nädalapäevadel.

Seega võib uksele koputada ka muul ajal – võib täitsa juhtuda, et keegi meist on parasjagu majas. Aga me ei taha lubada kindlaid avamisaegu ja siis valmistada pettumust, kui oled spetsiaalselt kohale tulnud ning uks on kinni.

Seega kõige kindlamalt tule poodi esmaspäeviti 11–18, broneeri aeg salongi või helista meile enne tulekut!

Holistic skincare isn’t a trend for us. It’s how LUMI has thought about skin from the beginning.

When we started in 2013, h**p seed oil became the heart of our formulas — at a time when very few people were talking about it in skincare. And it has stayed there ever since.

Today, there’s much more research behind what makes h**p seed oil so interesting. It’s naturally rich in the essential fatty acids linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3), typically in a ratio of around 3:1, alongside smaller amounts of other fatty acids including GLA and SDA. Essential fatty acids also have important structural and functional roles in healthy skin and its barrier.

For more than a decade, we’ve been giving skin these lipids from the outside through our formulas.

But today we want to talk about the other direction: from the inside.

Because your body can’t produce the essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids itself — they have to come from your diet. And there’s research here too: in one randomized human study, dietary h**p seed oil increased blood levels of essential fatty acids and was associated with improvements in skin dryness and itchiness in people with atopic dermatitis.
