A day in the life of a working mum ☀️💕

Today started at 8am. We got up, freshened the house, got the washing done, hoovered, mopped, and tackled all the usual jobs before the working day began.

Then came the first surprise of the day… my childcare cancelled last minute! So Sicily spent part of the day being my little helper while I worked. 💖

Work-wise, I completed a full set of lashes, an infill, and then a Korean lash lift with an eyebrow wax and tint. Halfway through that appointment, Sicily returned after a lovely day at the beach with my mum and dad. She then spent some time in the pool outside my studio, happily playing with my client’s little girl.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a working mum, it’s that no two days are ever the same. You can have a plan, but you never really know what’s going to happen! 😂

This is also a little reminder to my lovely clients that if you’re struggling for childcare during the summer holidays, your children are more than welcome to come along to your appointment. I’ll happily put YouTube on for them, there are plenty of toys to keep them entertained, and if they’re accompanied by an adult, they can enjoy the pool too. ☀️

Summer holidays as a working mum aren’t always easy, but we make it work. And the best part? After being on the go all day, Sicily was fast asleep by 7:30pm, which means I finally get to sit down, relax, and enjoy a quiet evening. 🤍
