Hiya! I’m Laura Wilson-North, destination makeup artist, mountain lover and mum of two, based in the French Alps. And I’m Welsh by origin 🏴

I decided to change my life in 2007 and started with a ski season. I’m still here in the Alps 19 years later, living a life that I love and chasing my dreams.

I met up again with the boy I’d met when I was 15 and fell in love with him and the mountain lifestyle. Now I live a life connected to nature, and travel as a destination makeup artist.

I built my makeup career travelling across the French and Swiss Alps, pinching myself that I got to work in a job I love and travel the world with it. Then one of my brides Jess decided to ski to her wedding ceremony with a latte makeup look and went viral. Properly viral.

Jess and Ladis wanted a low key mountain wedding and ended up in publications across the globe. Including the NY Post.

I dream of doing makeup in the wildest of places and I’ve met incredibly inspiring people through makeup.

After 15 years married he’s still the one I can’t wait to get home to (and my babes, obvs) and my number one adventure buddy.

I started snowboarding at 25 and for the first six weeks I was black and blue. I’m so grateful I persevered, but now I’m 44 and my kids leave me for dust.

When the snow melts you’ll find me on a mountain bike or on a horse

Or trail running. Fun fact, I completed an ultra marathon (UTMB OCC) as my post baby challenge. 53km, 3300+ vertical gain and 13 hours running. I loved every second. Which I agree, is odd.

I get so attached to my brides, create friends for life and am usually the last to leave, aside from planner an photographer

I love to push limits with destination makeup and I’m manifesting travelling to Africa and Antarctica for destination weddings

I studied horses at college and had the bug from a very early age. Pretty sure I’ll be a horse girl forever.

I lived in the USA, Japan and Singapore as a kid and into my teens, so moving to France at 25 didn’t seem like such a big deal

I know, I’m a makeup artist, but I’m not here to change faces or fuel insane beauty standards. And I want my daughter to grown up knowing she’s beautiful in her own skin. Ma
