OCTOBRE ROSE 2026
After a couple of days to process everything, come back down to earth and rest my poor back, I’m finally ready to share the creative process behind one of the most special pieces of my career…
Created for the wonderful Natalie during this year’s Octobre Rose with Sœurs d'Encre By Rose Tattoo at the Radisson Blu in Bordeaux. 💗
Natalie gave me something every artist dreams of; CARTE BLANCHE!
Her only requests? A phoenix and thistles. The rest was entirely up to me, allowing me to do what I love most, a bold, beautiful, FULL COLOUR piece 💕
What makes this even more incredible? IT WAS HER FIRST TATTOO! 🤯
Not only did she put her complete trust in me, but she sat for TWO DAYS BACK-TO-BACK / 15 HOURS OF TATTOOING! 💪🏻🔥
Following a double mastectomy after breast cancer, Natalie chose not to have reconstruction. Instead, she wanted to transform her scars into something powerful and beautiful.
Here you can see a little of my creative process, placing and adapting each element individually to work with her body, her natural shape and her scars, creating something completely unique to her.
Not simply covering scars, but transforming them into a piece of wearable art that moves and works with her natural beauty.
I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more incredible client. Her strength, patience and trust throughout those two days absolutely blew me away.
After almost 25 years of tattooing, weekends like this remind me exactly why I love what I do.
I truly believe this is one of the best and most meaningful pieces I’ve ever created.

Good morning! As this reel seems to have gotten popular, I wanted to introduce myself and address a few comments.
I’m Toni-Lou, the tattoo artist behind this piece, with almost 25 years of tattooing experience. For the past 10 years, I’ve worked alongside doctors through the French association Sœurs d’Encre, donating tattoos to these wonderful, courageous women.
My client chose not to have reconstruction after a double mastectomy following breast cancer. This was her very first tattoo, and she sat for 14 hours over two consecutive days—an incredible achievement, especially after everything she has already been through.
I understand the questions and concerns about tattoo inks, particularly colour. Tattooing is not without risks, and I take these concerns seriously. In her case, medical approval was obtained before we started, all ink are reach compliant as per strict EU standards.
As for the comments about her body or her choices, please remember there is a real person behind this tattoo. This is her body, her story, and her decision.
I take my work very seriously, and helping people feel more confident in their bodies is something I’m deeply passionate about.

Je n’arrive pas encore à mettre des mots sur le week-end que je viens de vivre avec Sœurs d’Encre pour Octobre Rose. 💖
Natalie souhaitait quelque chose qui représente pleinement mon style, et ce fut un immense honneur de lui tatouer un phénix tout en couleur pour recouvrir ses cicatrices après une double mastectomie liée à un cancer du sein.
Ce qui rend ce projet encore plus extraordinaire ? C’était son TOUT PREMIER TATOUAGE. Deux jours, environ QUINZE HEURES, et une immense confiance. Natalie, merci de m’avoir accordé cette confiance. 💪🏻💖
Nous venons tout juste de terminer et je suis très émue. Tant d’émotions partagées entre les artistes et leurs clientes… Ce week-end a été magnifique.
Voici un petit aperçu… ✨ Je garde encore un peu le résultat complet pour moi, le temps de laisser retomber les émotions et de regarder les photos. Ce sera un honneur de vous le dévoiler dans les prochains jours.
