I’ve found myself reflecting a lot on last Friday night.

Winning Silver for Best Customer Experience and Bronze for Brand of the Year at the was an incredibly proud moment for our team, but for me, it represented something much bigger.

As CEO, you spend so much time focused on what’s next that you rarely stop to acknowledge how far you’ve come. Standing in a room surrounded by some of Ireland’s most established and respected businesses, and seeing recognised alongside them, was a real reminder that we belong in those conversations.

It reinforced something I’ve always believed, that if you’re relentless in your pursuit of excellence, continue to invest in your people, listen to your customers, and never become complacent, extraordinary things can happen.

Happy Father’s Day to the man who has been my biggest supporter and my constant throughout every stage of my life.

No matter how big the dream, how difficult the challenge, or how uncertain the path, you’ve always been there.

After losing Mammy, you carried so much more than anyone should ever have to carry, yet somehow you made sure we always felt loved, supported, and safe. You stepped into every role we needed and did it with a strength and selflessness that I appreciate more with every passing year.

Everything I am today is built on the foundations you gave me, resilience, kindness, hard work, and the belief that anything is possible.

I couldn’t have asked for a better dad.

Today, I turn 40.

This week, I found my first grey eyebrow hair.
What a random reflection you might think.
I’m sharing because it made me cry.

Not because I’m afraid of ageing. Not because I found the grey hair. I cried because, in that moment, I realised what a privilege it is to grow older.

My mind immediately went to the people I have loved deeply who never got the chance.

One of my best friends Eddie, who lost his life to a brain tumour before he ever reached 30.

My mum, who left this world at just 51, with so much love, wisdom and life still to give.
Neither of them got to experience the gift of growing older.

And here I am.

Forty years old.

Alive. Healthy. Loved.

Surrounded by a husband, children, family, friends and a community that bring so much joy to my life.

The older I get, the less I worry about the lines, the grey hairs or passing years. Instead, I find myself grateful for every single one of them.

So, today isn’t just my 40th birthday.

It’s a reminder of how lucky I am to have made it this far. And for that, I am profoundly grateful.
