Brown lashes are having a moment. And once youโve tried them, you get it. ๐ค
That same beautiful lash line, just a little softer. Less contrast, more warmth โ especially lovely on fair features or clients who find black a bit too much.
And brown doesnโt have to mean barely there. You can still build fullness, texture and a proper fluffy set. The colour simply changes the finish.
For the client who says, โI want lashes, but nothing too dark.โ

Will UV save your retention?
Maybe.
But first you need to know why your retention isnโt consistent.
If your environment is the problem, UV is genuinely interesting technology. It takes that variable out of the equation.
But if the problem is your prep, adhesive amount, placement or attachment?
Youโre just curing a poor bond faster.
Thatโs the bit I really wanted people to take away from my talk at โจ
New technology will keep coming. New adhesives will keep launching. Marketing will keep promising better retention.
But before changing the product, ask yourself:

Still thinking about OPAL.

Fully prepared for a few side-eyesโฆ
Instead, I spent the rest of the day being stopped by people wanting to talk about the speech.
Honestly, I never expected it to get the reaction it did.
Thank you to every single person who came to find me afterwards, shared their thoughts, asked questions or simply told me it made them think differently.
That was exactly why I wanted to talk about it in the first place.

Isolation isnโt just about making sure lashes donโt stick together.
Itโs what gives you control over your placement.
If you canโt see the full natural lash clearly, youโre almost guessing where that extension is going to sit.
Good isolation lets you see:
โข the direction of the natural lash
โข the base clearly
โข the angle you need to correct or follow
โข exactly where you want the extension to sit
And that matters.
Because precise lash work isnโt just about attaching an extension โ itโs about placing it intentionally so the finished set flows in the direction you planned.
See the lash. Control the angle. Place with purpose. ๐
Good isolation is where precision starts.
