💛 💛

When we become mums, something quietly changes…

We pour every ounce of love, time and energy into our little ones. We remember their appointments, pack their changing bags, make sure they’re fed, comforted and cuddled… but somewhere along the way, we often forget to look after ourselves. 🤍

Here’s your little reminder today…

✨ You matter too.

Self-care doesn’t have to mean a weekend away or an expensive spa day. Sometimes it’s simply enjoying a hot coffee while it’s still warm, taking a walk in the fresh air, getting your hair done, having a massage, reading a book or spending an hour doing something that fills your own cup.

A happier, healthier mum is never something to feel guilty about. Looking after yourself means you’re better able to look after those who need you most.

🌿 So here’s a little challenge…

If you’re a local business and you’d like to help a deserving mum enjoy a little self-care, pop a special offer, discount or giveaway in the comments below. It could be anything from a coffee, beauty treatment, fitness class, haircut, massage, afternoon tea or something completely different.

Let’s come together as a community and remind mums that they deserve kindness too. 💕

And to all the mums reading this… if you see something you’d love, don’t be afraid to treat yourself. You deserve it. 🤍

Tag a local business you’d love to see get involved, or tag a mum who could do with a little reminder that she’s doing an amazing job. 🌙

Did you know that a gentle back massage can be a lovely way to encourage tummy time? 🌙✨

Before placing your little one onto their tummy, spend a minute or two gently stroking from their shoulders down to their bottom using slow, gentle movements. This can help your baby feel relaxed, increase their awareness of their back muscles and make tummy time feel a little more comfortable.

Once they’re on their tummy, keep it fun! Remember, tummy time doesn’t have to last long, just a few minutes at a time makes a difference.

🌈 Try these playful tummy time ideas:

✨ Lie on the floor face to face and chat, sing or pull funny faces.
🪞 Place a mirror in front of them so they can admire their reflection.
🎵 Shake a soft rattle or play gentle music to encourage them to lift their head.
🌈 Roll a colourful sensory ball just within reach.
📚 Read a favourite story with the book propped up in front of them.
🧸 Place a favourite toy slightly to one side to encourage them to turn their head.
🤲 Get down on the floor beside them and gently stroke their back while offering lots of smiles and encouragement.
🌟 If they’re finding tummy time tricky, try placing a rolled up towel or small cushion under their chest for extra support.

Remember, every baby is different. Some will happily stay on their tummy for several minutes, while others may only manage 30 seconds and that’s absolutely okay! Lots of short sessions throughout the day soon add up. 🤍

Have you got a little one who loves tummy time, or one who’s still learning? Tell me your favourite tummy time activity below! 👇

✨🌙 Monday Massage 🌙✨

Looking for a calm way to wind down before bedtime with your little one? 🤍

Tonight, set aside just 10 minutes for a simple bedtime massage. Dim the lights, pop on some relaxing music, and enjoy some uninterrupted skin to skin connection with your baby.

✨ Try this little routine:

🤍 Legs (2 minutes) – Using gentle, long strokes from thigh to ankle, massage one leg at a time.

🤍 Feet (2 minutes) – Gently rub the soles of their feet using your thumbs, then softly squeeze each tiny toe.

🤍 Tummy (2 minutes) – Using flat hands, make slow clockwise circles around your baby’s tummy to help encourage relaxation.

🤍 Arms & Hands (2 minutes) – Glide from shoulder to wrist, then gently massage each little finger.

🤍 Back (2 minutes) – If your baby is happy lying on their tummy, use slow strokes from shoulders down towards their bottom.

💤 Remember, baby massage isn’t about getting the technique perfect. It’s about slowing down, connecting with your baby and creating a peaceful bedtime routine together.

Save this post for tonight and let me know if you give it a try! 🌙✨

💕 Small Business Sunday 💕

Have you attended a SweetDreams class with your little one? 🤍

If you have just two minutes to spare, I would be so grateful if you could leave a little review about your experience.

As a small business, I rely so much on word of mouth from the lovely families who come along to classes. Your kind words help other parents find us, feel reassured, and discover the same calm, cosy moments with their babies.

Every review, recommendation, like, comment and share truly means the world. Even simply interacting with a post helps more local families discover our little SweetDreams community 🌎✨

If you can, just click the recommend button and type away 🫶

Thank you for supporting my small business through every cuddle, chat, class and recommendation. SweetDreams wouldn’t be what it is without each and every one of you.

So much love,
Jessica 💕

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision not to continue our final term at Wellington Square.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but with building work due to take place right next door, I just don’t feel it would create the calm, peaceful and welcoming environment that SweetDreams is all about. You and your babies deserve a space where you can truly relax, connect and enjoy those special moments together without the noise and disruption.

So… I have some lovely news instead. 💛

Our August/September Baby Massage term will now be held at LJM Dance, and I honestly couldn’t be happier.

The studio is absolutely beautiful, with easy access, plenty of parking, no stairs to navigate with prams, and most importantly, a quiet, calm and relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for our SweetDreams families.

I’ll be emailing everyone who is booked onto the August/September term with all of the details, so keep an eye on your inbox over the next day or so. I might actually be emailing at the start of next week, as I’m moving everything out of my room this weekend, wish me luck!

If I’m honest, I feel incredibly relieved. After all the uncertainty over the last few weeks, knowing we have such a lovely space to call home for this term means so much. I can’t wait to welcome you all into our new little SweetDreams home in just a few weeks.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for coming along on this journey with me. It truly means the world.

Love,
Jessica x 🤍

✨ A little reintroduction… ✨

Hi! I’m Jessica, the face behind SweetDreams. 👋💛

I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself and shared a little about who I am, how SweetDreams began, and why baby massage means so much to me.

When I’m not teaching classes, you’ll usually find me singing and dancing around the house with my not so little boy, Rebel, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying a coffee and a slice of cake while Rebel burns off some energy at soft play! ☕🍰

This handsome little boy is Rebel, and he’s the reason SweetDreams exists.

Our baby massage journey started when Rebel was just 6 weeks old. Because of COVID, we began learning at home before eventually joining in-person classes when he was around 4 months old. What started as a way to help him soon became one of our favourite ways to connect, and even now, years later, massage is still part of our bedtime routine… although these days he’s the one telling me what to do! 😂

As a baby, Rebel struggled with reflux and constipation, and baby massage became such a lifeline for us. It helped ease his discomfort, but it also gave us something just as important, quiet moments together, confidence, connection, and time to simply slow down.

Before becoming a baby massage instructor, I worked as a technical instructor on wind turbines. Quite the career change, isn’t it? 🤭

When I was on maternity leave, I realised I couldn’t imagine returning to my old job. Instead, I spent that time gaining all of the qualifications I needed to turn a dream into reality.

Five years later, SweetDreams has grown into something I could never have imagined. We’ve laughed together, celebrated milestones together, supported one another through sleepless nights, teething, colic, reflux, first smiles and first giggles. It’s become so much more than a baby massage class, it’s a little community.

I’m so grateful to every family who has trusted me to be part of their journey. Thank you for supporting my little business, for recommending us to your friends, and for allowing me to watch your little ones grow.

If you’re new here, welcome! I can’t wait to meet you and your little one soon. 💛

Thank you for reading.

Love,
Jessica x

✨ SweetDreams Top Tip ✨

👣 When in doubt… go back to the feet.

Every baby is different, and during massage it’s completely normal for your little one’s mood to change. They might become a little wriggly, start chatting away, or lose interest for a moment and that’s absolutely okay. 🤍

If you notice your baby beginning to feel unsettled, simply pause the area you’re working on and return to gently massaging their feet (or even their little hands).

👣 Feet and hands are familiar, comforting places for babies to be touched. They’re full of tiny nerve endings, making them wonderfully soothing and relaxing. Often, spending a few quiet moments here is all it takes to help your baby feel calm again.

At SweetDreams, we always say there’s no such thing as a “perfect” massage session. Following your baby’s cues is far more important than completing every stroke.

Remember… 💛

☁️ Some massage is always better than no massage.
☁️ It’s okay to pause.
☁️ It’s okay to cuddle.
☁️ It’s okay to stop altogether if that’s what your baby needs.

The most important part of baby massage isn’t getting through the routine, it’s spending that precious, connected time together. ✨🌙

✨ What To Expect at Sweet Dreams ✨

If you’re new here, or feeling a little nervous about booking… this is for you 🤍

At Sweet Dreams, you can expect:

🌿 A calm, cosy and nurturing environment
🤍 No judgement, no pressure, no expectations
👶 A baby led approach, feeding, cuddling and changing are always welcome
💆‍♀️ Gentle massage techniques to support sleep, digestion and bonding
☕ A hot cuppa and a biscuit (because you deserve one too!)

Running late?
Baby unsettled?
Need to stop and feed?

That’s completely normal here.

These classes aren’t about “perfect” babies. They’re about connection. They’re about slowing down. They’re about giving you space to breathe and enjoy your little one.

You only pay per parent & not per baby (yes, multiples are welcome 🤍).
You’ll even take home your own bottle of grapeseed oil to continue your massage routine at home, plus our little extras each class too.

Sweet Dreams is a small, one-mama business built from my own experience of those early months. I know how overwhelming they can feel and I’ve created this space to feel like a warm hug when you walk through the door.

If you have any questions at all, just message me. I’m always happy to chat 🤍

💛 One last term in our little SweetDreams home… 💛

This August will be our final baby massage term at Wellington Square before SweetDreams takes a pause while I search for a new venue to call home.

It’s hard to put into words how much this little room has meant to me. It’s been filled with tiny first smiles, sleepy cuddles, new friendships, laughter, happy tears, and so many special memories that I’ll treasure forever.

I’d love nothing more than to fill these final spaces and give a few more families the chance to make memories here before we say goodbye.

✨ We only have:
🤍 1 space left on Monday at 10:00am
🤍 4 spaces left on Monday at 11:45am

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the perfect time. Over five relaxed weeks you’ll learn massage techniques to help with colic, wind, constipation, teething and sleep, while enjoying precious one to one time with your little one in a warm, welcoming space.

Supporting SweetDreams by booking this final term would honestly mean the world to me as I begin the search for a new home. I truly hope this isn’t goodbye forever, just “see you soon.”

If you’d love to join us, book your space now through Happity, or send me a message if you have any questions. I’d be so grateful if you could also like, comment or share this post to help it reach families who might be interested. 💛

Thank you for every bit of love and support you’ve shown SweetDreams. I can’t wait to welcome our final Wellington Square families through the door.

Jessica ✨
