If your struggling with empty nest syndrome or feeling a little lost, its totally normal and ok to feel this way.

If those emotions are feeling overwhelming though, try this simple tip to ground yourself.

Sit or lie down, try to empty the mind and start to notice your breathing.

Take just a couple of minutes to be still.

When your ready.....

Breathe in for a count of 4,
Hold the breath for 4,
Exhale for 4 through the mouth (making a whoosh sound),
Be still for 4.

This exercise, also known as box breathing helps to calm the nervous system and sharpens focus ready for the day ahead.

Use it whenever you feel these emotions and I promise you'll feel calmer.
