“Just so you know, before you meet Alex…”

* She has ideas. Lots of them. And once she has one, it is generally happening. The question is merely how much it’s going to cost and how quickly she can organise it.
* She researches EVERYTHING. Flights, hotels, Avios, sofas, beer, toilet paper, restaurants, car parks… if there is a £5 difference somewhere, she will find it.
* She has absolutely no patience for mediocre. If something is “a bit crap”, she will want to know why, what the alternative is, and whether she can get a better one.
* She travels like a military operation disguised as a holiday. There will be flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, points, Wi-Fi, restaurant bookings and approximately 17 contingency plans. And somehow she’ll still be asking, “What shall we do tomorrow?”
* She is extremely sociable. You may think you’re meeting her for a coffee. Three hours later you’ll have discussed holidays, business, family, somebody’s sofa and a completely unrelated problem she is currently trying to solve.
* She will ask your opinion — but be warned: this does not necessarily mean she has decided to take it. 😂
* She is entrepreneurial to the point of danger. Give her a market stall, a Facebook group or a vague business opportunity and she’ll have turned it into a project before you’ve finished your sentence.
* She is fiercely loyal. If she likes you, she REALLY likes you. If someone has treated you badly, she will probably become considerably more outraged than you are.
* She notices details. Tiny details. Things you thought nobody would notice? Alex noticed.
* She likes a bargain, but not at the expense of quality. She wants the best deal, not merely the cheapest thing.
* She will probably send you a message consisting of: “Ooh”, “Yes”, “Nope”, “What about…?” and then six increasingly specific follow-up questions.
* She is prone to saying “quick question” immediately before starting an investigation that could reasonably be undertaken by a government department.

And perhaps the biggest warning:

She is enthusiastic. About travel, experiences, people, business, family, food, beautiful places, good deals and new ideas. She doesn’t really do half-hearted.

So if you meet Alex, bring coffee, patience and a willingness to say “ooh, that sounds fun.”

You have been warned. 😆

💚 I never knew how much I’d absolutely LOVE it.
