Long term goals!

Sharing this because I genuinely hope this comes true for all of you! We are all fighting battles no one knows about. Love to anyone who constantly say ‘I’m ok’ even when you’re not.

It is ok not to be ok but you deserve to give yourself the love, time, compassion and effort you give to others.

Be kind to yourself, do nice things for you! Keep working on yourself, for yourself ❤️

Self care is so important and that’s why I do what I do. I love sharing my passion and knowledge when it comes to my self care workshops. Never underestimate the difference it can make when you invest in yourself.

When your heads not in a good place, go for a walk!

Ormeau Park is one of my favorite places, with the sunshine it just feels incredible!

Walking is good for the soul! What do you do to clear the head?

I’m having a much needed me day. Strict instructions from my coach who’s incredible by the way 🙌🏻 ❤️

Ok, so I had one small job to do and that was leaving my car into the garage for repairs. But my me time starts now.

I’ve been on foot all week which is grand, I love walking, but I’m tired and sore so I’m staying very local today. And that’s fab! I get to spend the day looking after myself and doing nice things, all the while supporting local independent businesses.

Starting the day with a delicious coffee in one of my fave coffee spots ☕️ lovely friendly welcome, great coffee, bangin tunes and the furriest welcome from the beautiful Jill 🐶 ps it’s doggo friendly so that’s always a bonus!

Who knows where the day will bring me but I’m already in slow mo and it feels bloody great!

Here’s your friendly reminder to take time for you. No tasks, jobs, to do lists just pause, breathe, rest and reset. Don’t wait until burnout! Make self care a priority, honor and love your body, mind and soul - you deserve it! You NEED it ❤️

Things don’t always go to plan.

I was supposed to be in Leamington Spa for a gorgeous Neal’s Yard Consultant event today. It was a special one.

Aer Lingus had other plans. After a stressful nightmare 4 odd hours at the airport I was on my way back home.

The bridge felt significant. It also felt scary. Sometimes we don’t end up in the direction we plan and we just have to cross the bridge and get over it. I just wanted to get to the other side. The other side of the bridge to go home. The other side of my feelings because they weren’t pretty. The other side and be done with this ordeal. Bridges scare me and today so did my thoughts. I practically ran across that bridge and had to tell myself out loud, just keep going, one step in front of the other. We’ll get to the other side. Eyes down, focus on the next step.

I was overwhelmed and upset. I cried twice today in the middle of an airport. At first I tried to hold it in but then I had a light bulb moment. I don’t need to worry about what other people think of me. I wasn’t ok and that’s ok. It’s ok to feel your feelings. Suppressing your emotions will do far more damage than letting them out ever will. Crying is also a natural stress relief. It happens!

So here I am. Home. And that is safe and full love. And I am grateful.

On the bright side I was up early enough to get some of my fave cookies - thanks .cookie.guy_ for listening to this crazy gal explain why I needed 4 cookies just for me 🤣

So now I have a choice, I can go on about my day, indulge in a little self care and be gentle with myself. OR, I can be upset and annoyed and dwell on all the sh*tty things that happened today.

I know which one I’ll choose, in fact I already have. I choose life, and gratitude and appreciating the little things even when life feels hard.

now pass me those feckin cookies!🍪

Sometimes the only thing that will soothe your soul is a walk in Ormeau Park. It’s a crackin day so the sunshine is an added bonus ☀️ I love everything about this place, the rich and vibrant greens, the birdsong and the little buzz with friends and families out walking and catching up. I’ve noticed recently more colour starting to bloom and I also realised from being so busy I almost missed cherry blossom season!! I absolutely LOVE cherry blossom trees, they are so special, unique and beautiful and only hang around for a short while. I took a seat to have a read, I’ve been neglecting my self care, life has been busy. I made a decision today to pause the work and take time for me. Found my favourite spot for this time of day, feeling instantly better and looked up to spot a cheery blossom. 🌸 naturally I take a photo and as I’m doing so, someone else stopped to take a photo of it too! swipe to see lol a gentle reminder to live in the moment ❤️ ✌🏻 🌳 ☀️ 🐦 🌸
