Over the holidays I have introduced a quiet kids club to Belper. It has been a bit anxiety provoking as not knowing many people in the Belper, but today we had a full house and it was fab. Board games, fidget toy making and a bit of cornflour sensory play. The best achievement was that after 3 years of play therapy someone sorted out the rubix cube in about 3 minutes where no one has achieved that with my cube before

Today's Kids Club was all about the teenagers of the group having the opportunity for some messy play. You are never too old for some messy play and in their words "this is so much fun'. There are still a couple of spaces for the remaining 2 weeks of kids club. Comment if you are interested.

Today i took my mum to see Paddington, I wasn't really that bothered, it was a wish for her. I wasn't expecting how emotional it would be, yes it is Paddington but the theme of the story is that no one should be alone, being different is ok, and we all just need to be kind. Tissues were needed. Definitely worth a trip

For many parents in rural Derbyshire, accessing children's therapy isn't straight forward. Villages are spread out, public transport and specialist services are often based in larger towns like Chesterfield, Derby and Buxton. When a child is anxious, overwhelmed or struggling to do every day things, long journeys can feel impossible. So now I am offering my service in your local community
