You will have noticed the temperature becoming hotter and more humid as the summer season is upon us. Our hair also reacts to this climate changing and requires enough hydration and moisture to maintain good hair health. Just as we need hydration in hot seasons so does our hair, here are a few ways to seal in moisture and hydration. 🌞💦🐚

☀️We can prevent the moisture and hydration from leaving our hair strands through evaporation by using the LOC or LCO method (check our previous post to see which method is best for you) it consists of layering products such as water, leave-in, oils and creams in a specific order to ensure maximum hydration and moisture retention.

☀️The sun is known to dry out and weaken our hair due to its UV rays, just as we should protect our skin against harsh UV rays we should also protect our hair. This can be done through caps, hats, silk scarfs and products that reduce the rays pe*******on.

☀️Deep conditioning our hair regularly is great for maintaining hydration and moisture. Deep conditioners work to pe*****te and nourish the hair strands, many of the ingredients help restore and seal moisture into the hair shaft.
