Adapting, Learning and Thriving Even in the Heat ☀️

With temperatures rising in the classroom today, we adapted our programme and moved the workshop outdoors to ensure everyone could continue learning comfortably.
Nina, our Lifestyle Coach, delivered today's session in the fresh air, and it was wonderful to see participants fully engaged and eager to learn despite the warm weather.
Their commitment to attending, learning and taking positive steps towards managing their condition shows just how important their health journey is to them.
Managing a long-term condition is about adapting to challenges, staying consistent and continuing to move forward, even when circumstances change.

A huge well done to everyone who attended today's session. Your dedication and willingness to embrace change is inspiring. 💚☀️

A Fantastic Start to a Lifelong Health Journey! 🌿

Today at Newtown Medical Centre, we welcomed a new group of participants to the first session of our 7-Week Diabetes Management Programme.

A huge thank you to our diabetic-friendly chef, Julie, who demonstrated how simple, delicious and nutritious healthy eating can be.

Our participants enjoyed learning how to prepare three diabetes-friendly recipes straight from our diabetes recipe book:

🥕 Carrot, Walnut & Feta Salad
🍓 Fresh Fruit Cocktail with Yogurt
🫘 Mixed Bean Salad

These colourful dishes are packed with flavour, fibre and nutrients to help support better blood sugar management while proving that healthy food doesn't have to be boring!

Today marks the beginning of a 7-week course, but more importantly, the start of a lifelong journey towards improved health, wellbeing and positive lifestyle change.
We reminded participants that lasting success comes from taking small, achievable steps. Just like climbing a ladder, each healthy choice is another rung that takes you closer to your goals.

Over the coming weeks, participants will gain practical knowledge, support and confidence to make sustainable changes to their diet, activity levels and overall wellbeing.
We look forward to supporting everyone on their journey and celebrating every step forward.
