One of my favourite things about teaching isn't the finished look.

It's watching confidence grow in someone who realises they are capable of more than they thought possible.

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a young learner who wanted to learn how to create her own hair and makeup for dance performances.

Throughout the session, we explored techniques, practised skills and, most importantly, built confidence.

Watching someone realise they are capable of creating something themselves is incredibly rewarding.

This is exactly why education forms such an important part of NaniKōkī.

Whether someone is learning for personal confidence, a special event, or as the first step towards a professional career, every journey begins with learning.

The skills can be taught.

The confidence grows with practice.

And every achievement deserves to be celebrated.
