Harvest Skincare
An independent organic skincare brand & treatment room based in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
We lovingly hand craft each product in small batches so we know exactly what goes into everything we make.
Tonight, at blue hour, on the autumn equinox, I want to tell you the story of Gather After Light.
I imagined the fields after the harvest. The last of the sun leaving the hay. Herbs hanging to dry. The warmth still held in the earth as evening comes in.
That feeling became a fragrance.
Hay absolute, chamomile, carrot seed, woods and incense. The carrot seed has that wonderful closeness to the soil. And the perfume itself is so beautifully dark - I love that you can see its depth before you even smell it.
has painted the world I had in my mind, and together her artwork and the scent became Gather After Light.
So, here it is. Our second eau de parfum for harvest. It means a great deal to share it with you.
The 2 ml sample is available to order now, so you can smell it for yourself. If you fall in love with it, you can also pre-order the full 50 ml bottle, dispatching from 9 October. You’ll find both through the link in our bio.
The music you’re hearing is a piece .violin composed for our Gather After Light film. I can’t wait to share the film with you soon.

gather after light
For gather after light, Moira Frith and I have worked in two different languages - scent and watercolour - to tell the story of the same landscape.
A landscape caught at the end of the day, when the fields have been gathered, the herbs are hanging to dry, and the last warmth of the light begins to settle into the earth.
Moira’s painting has become part of the world surrounding the fragrance.
Each of the first one hundred perfume boxes will hold a signed, numbered edition of the artwork.

If you’re on our mailing list, you’ll have had a little letter from me this afternoon, I can finally share it here too.
For quite some time, I’ve been quietly working on our second harvest eau de parfum.
gather after light
I wanted to make a fragrance that captured that particular moment at the end of an autumn day, in the harvest season. When the light begins to disappear, the fields darken, there’s still a little warmth left in the earth and everything becomes still.
That space between daylight and darkness. The blue hour.
The fragrance is dry, earthy and warm -
hay absolute • frankincense
carrot seed • chamomile • black pepper
elemi • lavender • cedarwood • vetiver • labdanum.
The landscape settling at the end of the day. As I’ve been creating it, a whole world has slowly grown around it.
I’ve been working with the wonderful artist Moira Frith, who has created a piece especially for gather after light, responding to the landscape, colour and feeling of the fragrance. We’ve also been quietly making a film which I can’t wait to share with you.
And so, on Friday 9th October, we’re bringing everything together.
Traditionally, harvest was a time to gather at the end of the season, share food and mark what had been grown and gathered. I love that idea of coming together as the season turns.
We’ll gather at harvest at 6.30pm, as daylight fades, moving through blue hour and into candlelight.
Scent, art, film and a beautiful seasonal meal around the table by Phung Tomorrow’s Plate
A lovely way for gather after light to arrive.
Just 18 spaces - to find out more and book your place, click the link in the bio, I hope some of you will come and gather after light with me. x

Hello Alcester
So, this is where our new harvest space will be.
We’ve spent the last two weeks pulling up carpets, painting walls, cleaning, sorting and slowly making this place ours.
Alcester is such a lovely old market town, with its pretty High Street and lots of independents, and it just felt like the right place for this next chapter.
The space will be part shop, part studio, somewhere to develop, make, create, and work on projects with atelierharvest_ with a harvest shop alongside it.
There’s still lots to do, but we are getting there.
More soon.

I’ve been looking at this photograph for weeks, wondering whether I was ready to share it.
But August is Alopecia Awareness Month so perhaps this is the right time.
So, let me tell you a little story.

SKIN
Some skins love a rich balm. Others prefer a light cream. Some need the comfort of a lotion, while others ask for as little as possible.
Skin is wonderfully individual. It changes with the seasons, with age, with hormones, with stress, and with conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. What feels nourishing to one person may feel completely different to another.
That’s why we make a range of textures by hand. Thick, silky, buttery, creamy, light. Not because one is better than another, but because every skin has its own story.
Sometimes the most important thing isn’t finding the “best” skincare. It’s finding what your own skin feels at home with.
If you’re not sure where to begin, we’re always happy to help. Whether you’re looking for a gentle cleanser, a nourishing moisturiser, something for sensitive skin, or simply don’t know what your skin needs, come and chat with us in the shop. You’re welcome to try the textures, ask questions, and take your time. If you can’t visit, just give us a call and someone from the harvest team will always be happy to help you find what feels right for you :)

Just another lovely day at harvest 🤎

There was a huge basket of freshly cut lavender waiting by my front door this morning.
No note. Just a thoughtful gift from someone’s garden.
It’s one of those quiet moments that always makes me smile. Throughout the summer, people leave flowers and herbs from their gardens for us – lavender, fennel, sweet peas, oregano, marigolds… each one a small act of kindness.
The scent from this basket was instantly familiar. It was the very same soft, herbal aroma that fills the shop whenever we burn our Dried Lavender Candle. The fragrance begins here, in armfuls of freshly cut stems, gathered from local gardens before slowly drying and filling the air with that unmistakable scent of summer.
Some of these flowers become part of our displays, some are dried for our gift wrapping and seasonal making, and their spirit quietly finds its way to us.
Thank you to everyone who shares a little of their garden with us. It’s one of the loveliest parts of what we do.🪴

Everywhere you turn there are bottles filled with lemon balm, mint, sage, oregano, fennel and verbena, all picked fresh from the garden and tucked into little corners around the shop. It’s one of those moments in the year when the seasons quietly find their way indoors.
Our gift wrapping has become something really special too. So many of you have been bringing us cuttings from your own gardens…….lavender, herbs and flowers that dry beautifully. We wrap your gifts with them, so every parcel carries a little piece of our community. Thank you for sharing your gardens with us.
This week, someone also left the sweetest message in our harvest book, it was one of those lovely reminders of why we do what we do.
If you’re passing this weekend, come in and spend a little while with us. The shop is cool, it smells beautiful, the shelves are full of freshly made batches of our handmade soaps, including our new Geranium bar.
Our new Jojoba Skin Support and Foot Soak have arrived, and the treatment room is ready for those of you who have booked in this weekend for your quiet hour .
We’d love to see you. 🤍
